What would an official file be doing in the loft of a police officer, was the filing cabinet full? Haven't read that before (other than when mentioned by you) - were did you read it? The 'Boss' comment is almost as ridiculous as the bow tie Miller was sporting. I imagine it lights up and spins around!!
Hi Caroline , the burglary of the file has been referred to by Mike previously but can't remember where .
Hunter mentions it in his book also. The following is lifted verbatim from Hunter's book :
"The original file (SC/688/85) that was being prepared for the inquests during the initial 33 day period went missing in mysterious circumstances .
Apparently a senior police officer or someone connected with the coroner's court took the file home and there was a burglary during which the entire original file (SC/688/85) was stolen ..
Even more bizarre, the file had been placed in the loft of the person's house and we are informed that someone broke into the house and stole the file...
Nothing else appears to have been taken...
Is this explanation believable ? "
So, unbelievable as it is, Steve used a fact in his post rather than his usual speculation and conjecture.
Unfortunately, for Steve, the one fact which he does use would in the eyes of anyone objective undermine his belief that EP are not withholding any evidence.
