I understood he confessed in a letter to a third party, are you saying he gave a verbal confession to a third party, surely whoever that third party is should be known, if it was a "cell-mate" confession that could throw a totally different light on the whole situation.

It sounds like it probably was not to a family member or else we might never have known about it.

Where did you get that from if you don't mind me asking?

I can assure you his confession was not made to a "cell mate."

Do you believe SH confession to be genuine or do you believe him to be innocent?

Do you mean you have conflicting feelings?

What makes you believe SH is innocent and what makes you think he is guilty?

well what makes me think is it shouldent of taken him that long to drive home and of course his decision to drop the appeal

what makes me think his innocent is the forensic evidence that says other people were in the house.

and the dispute about the time of death and the fact that glass was heard breaking at 2 am.

i also dont think a guy whos sunk 9 pints and 3 shots could comit a crime with that much competence.

Do you believe SH confession to be genuine or do you believe him to be innocent?

I believe his confession, as he doesn't seem to have anything to gain after all this time, and so much to lose, friends family supporters. I don't see what duress could have been applied, he was due to have his category changed I believe in preperation for a move to a lower category prison. That will probably still happen, ha will have been asked many many times to attend courses to "address his offending behaviour". He would have refused whilst maintains his innocence but will now probably attend. I know in our case both boys refused point blank to sign up for these courses and non-attendance played no part in re-categorising either of them, in fact K was indeed released without attend any of these courses.

I can't see any other reason for his confession other than it being true. I am willing to change my mind if other facts come to light.
