if it came from mrs Alberts garden and was then found in a neighbors garden i would of thought that would of been considered significant.

It was listed as an exhibit, therefore it was significant in respect to it being of interest to the investigation but obviously the police didn't think it had been used to smash the window. They probably were not aware it came from the garden in the first place?

The crime was committed at around 6am, the police were on scene within 2 and half to 3 hours later? I doubt the neighbours had time to look in their garden?

Not sure where you are going with all your questions Nugnug?

I think the fact SH confessed has confused many people and has left a great deal of unanswered questions TS

Hi Truthseeker and welcome to the forum :). Just wanted to ask if you have any idea why SH chose Mrs Albert as a victim?

Fair comment.

In one of his blogs he writes about his journey from Kingston to Hollesley Bay. En route he stops of at HMP Chelmsford for 4 days. He was in the cell next to the one he was in on remand. I imagine this would have brought back memories for him?

Prior to this, it was discovered he had lied about his actual movements on the night in question. If he could lie about this, what else was he capable of lying about?

Hi Caroline and thank you for the welcome. :)

In answer to your question;

She was always on her own? She wouldn't be able to fight back? She was convenient, as in location? :(

I think her age may have played a part in his motive?  :'(

His confession probably came about because he 'lost control.'

i bekive we found out about the zenith burgelery through jacky preece if i remember rightly.

I've commented on this in a previous post.

The Zenith burglary appears to have been common knowledge since 2003, certainly within the Hall family and the ex girlfriend. It seems one or more of these people told others and this information eventually leaked out to others in the village of Capel. This is how we found out about the burglary in November 2012.

When someone like SH confesses to their crimes, there are no forms to fill in or confessions to sign as such. It's done verbally. SH had already been found guilty and convicted for the crime, therefore in the eyes of the law he had been dealt with. He was serving his sentence. His confession allowed the years of lies to come to an end.

I understood he confessed in a letter to a third party, are you saying he gave a verbal confession to a third party, surely whoever that third party is should be known, if it was a "cell-mate" confession that could throw a totally different light on the whole situation.

It sounds like it probably was not to a family member or else we might never have known about it.
