That old turkey, SH mother was a friend of Mrs A she spent time at her house, she also spent time in SH car and at her own home it is not unreasonable to think that any fibres could have happened via this route. Reasonable doubt anyone? Not that it matters now tbh
Yes,that 'old turkey' the fibre evidence was compelling enough to convince a jury of Hall's guilt!
Yes,we know that Simon's mother spent time at Mrs.Albert's house,I am no forensic expert but I take it you are referring to 'secondary transfer'? The fibres were discovered on Mrs Albert's face, legs, dressing gown, the immediate area of her body, the kitchen, around the broken glass of the window,on a concrete post in her back garden, and on fence panels at 15 Boydlands and 3 Vine walk (clearly then the entry or escape route ?). I personally cannot really see Simon's mother only depositing the fibres in these specific areas, can you? And what on earth would Simon's mother be doing in Mrs A's neighbouring gardens in order to deposit the fibres there?
The case still has me stumped due to the DNA,hair samples etc collected which didn't match Hall's. This appears to point to an accomplice? I disagree though that the footprints were not a match for Hall. A true shoe size could not be measured but was estimated as being between a size 6 and a half and a size 9. I understand Simon is a size 8? I know the tread was described as being made from 'city' type shoes and Simon allegedly did not own such a pair, but this was 6 months AFTER the murder! His mother stated that he had been wearing a pair of brown 'CAT' style boots and BLUE jeans on the night in question, and no disrespect to her but how could she possibly remember this 6 months after the event? I certainly could not describe what any of my sons were wearing on a particular night some 6 months ago!
Personally,as the jury did,I find the fibre evidence very very compelling.
