all campaigns relay on publicity and discussion of the case i know.

but also campahners they cant control discussion of the case and i rather object to members here being called gouls becouse there discussing the case in a way campaigner dosent like.

All campaigns for Justice rely on publicity, you must understand that. My campaign attracted the BBC who made a program, this brought even more publicly which brought on board more forensic experts which ended up with a successful appeal. No publicity=No appeal, simples
I'm obviously aware of that. Like I say, you can't have your cake and eat it.

As they there's no such thing as bad publicly, there's just publicly.

I'm meeting a former producer of Rough Justice later this week, it'll be interesting to hear what they have to say regarding this case..

Paris,

Your message was a clear attack on everyone who campaigned for Simon, you said "they were happy to splash it all over the net, blaming everyone else and cause distress to Mrs Albert's family"

I am not accusing you of anything, just asking why these attacks and judgements, the message may have been addressed to you but actually it was for a lot of people here.

Anyone campaigning for a MOJ or any other cause will of course use internet and media to publish their case and find help though in my days there was no facebook or forums like this thank god.

If you think I was happy to splash my face all over the press, you should ask my parents how they felt when I told them I was going to court to see a friend being trialed for murder, as for campaigning for him...  Noone was every happy about having their faces on the front pages and being associated with a murder, it's not the kind of publicity anyone would want for their children but it had to be done at the time and with the best of intentions.

I am not angry or mad at anyone in particular, I am saddened by everyone gossiping and also by Simon, I can only be honest about how I feel, I have been quiet for a very long time despite a lot has been said about me.

Not a day went by when I campaign when I didn't think about Mrs Albert, and this campaign was as much about finding justice for her as it was for Simon.

I didn't accuse you of started the thread, I said your post was personal which it was and I am not here to argue, I just felt something had to be said.

Simon's mum must be back to how she felt the day her son was convicted and you know how that feels, most people don't, I don't.  Whatever Simon's done and whatever people think, Simon's mother didn't go out to campaign knowing that her son would do this 12 yrs later and for anyone judging her, shame on them.

Don't be offended, life is too short.

Neil, you're right, I take responsibility for what I did, actually I didn't do anything wrong and believed in my work.  Denn has just explained that it's essential to use media and internet when you campaign.

How would you suggest we did campaign?  Isn't the point of a campaign to raise awareness for a cause?  There isn't just one MOj in the world, and using the internet has allowed people to come together and do some good work for the cause.  It's a shame that some of it gets defaced by people like you on forum like these?  It's like finding a cure for someone and keeping it to yourself, unless people work together it will never happen.  A bit like this campaign really.

I have witnessed heated conversations between you and Stephanie Hall but still you said earlier you studied the case so you too must be disappointed?  Or did you know all along?

Your vendetta isn't with me I'm afraid and once again, noone has ever been proved innocent because a forum said so.

You are free to comment on the case as it was public as you said, but our private lives were not exposed and therefore you do not know who you are judging.

I've had my cake and believe me I've eaten it 10 times over!

To be fair they weren't involved in this case, they made our program. Murder without Trace.

Why would you ASSume Simon would know this.

because his mum would care and check in on mrs Albert..i would assume he knew..i doubt his mum felt she needed to keep this from him..he was/is her son and would have trusted him..just a thought..

Don't see why he'd have any reason to know. Unless his Mother told people he knew, which I don't believe she has. Isn't that the difference between evidence and supposition?...
