Can't say it's a big shock, the evidence was always there IMO. The fiber evidence wasn't anything like the Halls led people to believe, it was never flimsy and was always concrete.

R.I.P to Joan and may Simon spend the rest of his days locked up. Nasty, greedy crime.

I would think they recorded his formal confession he made after this came to light to the prison authorities.
