I feel so bad for Stephanie who was his main advocae - maybe he confessed because he couldn“t live with the lie between them and he felt he was using her. If that is the case, it must be a little consolation to her; in any case it shows he has some sort of conscience. Just sad, the whole thing. Steph, hugs and thoughts if you read this.

So what do you all think? That he made a false confession in order to have a chance at parole at the first opportunity? Personally I don't buy it. From what we know about him he doesn't seem to be the kind of person to admit to somebody elses crime (especially murder) and carry out their sentence for them. Was he worried that the CCRC were going to uncover further evidence of his guilt? Because surely,if innocent,he would have stuck with it? Their decision,we were led to believe was imminent.

The only conclusion we can draw, is that he did it.  I can't believe that anyone would falsely take responsibility for such a heinous crime.

There is absolutely no reason to believe that he is innocent.

I don't think that the theory of confession just so that he can get parole holds much water either. If tht was the case then why would he do that before the CCRC had made a decision, let's not forget how much new 'evidence' the Halls had put forward to the CCRC to prove innocence, if he was just confessing to one day get parole you'd of think he'd have done that after the CCRC had made a decision.

dident Steven kisko sighn a confession dident the birgmingham 6 sighn a confession and also the guilford 4.

It was because of these types of confessions that PACE was introduced. Simon Hall came under no such pressure, why would they bother, he was already banged up for the crime......
