(1) - prior to 30th August 1985, tests had been carried out on the silencer, and it was discovered that bullets being fired through it, were becoming badly damaged - with this in mind police sent an internal memo to the ballistic expert at the lab' for advice and his opinion...

(2) - Sheila was shot twice, (a) across the throat, and the original bullet was badly fragmented, (b) under the chin, a whole bullet recovered from her brain...

Police substituted the original badly fragmented bullet (PV/20), and substituted it with a duplicate whole bullet, which had been test fired through the anshulz rifle post the shootings. One of the reasons this appears to have been done, is because one of these two original bullets (PV/20) was badly fragmented, whilst the other (PV/19) was not, so if the originals had been left untouched, it would have been an inconsistent argument that both rounds had been fired through a damaged silencer which was badly damaging bullets fired through it...

If the silencer was so badly configured that it was damaging bullets fired through it, then the damaged silencer could not have been fitted to the barrel of the anshulz rifle which fired the fatal bullet (PV/19) under the chin. So police swapped the original badly fragmented (PV/20) bullet over by replacing it with a newly test fired bullet, fired through the anshulz rifle, post the tragedy, so that both bullets linked to Sheila's death were whole bullets, not a badly fragmented bullet, and a whole one...
