Nelson Mandela aged 94 is again critically ill

It has just been announced that Nelson Mandela has relapsed and is now critically ill.,
May he be allowed to die in peace at 94 years of age after a most amazing life.

94 is impressive, but all those years must be heavy to carry around. I hope they keep him pain-free, and that his passing will be peaceful; if anyone deserves that, it is him.

Sorry to hear that Maggie.  He had an extraordinary life may piece be with him with no more pain.  :(

Yes Nug, he may but for how long? There will come a time when he won't, and at his age it won't be possible for him to regain lost ground so he'll get progressively weaker.

He has a recurrence of TB nugs.  How many antibiotics can they pump into the poor man?

My Great Aunt is 94, she recently discovered she had a hernia which caused pressure on her bowel and she either had to have emergency surgery or she would die. You'd imagine for someone of that age, such an op would be fatal but she is making a full recovery and is up and about using a walker. I guess where there is life, there is always hope!!
