I love my Friday nights Mike after what appears to have been a long tiring week at work. I love to kick me shoes off and have a glass of wine, but I have had fish and chips for tea...disaster, because I know it fills me up for about two days....so only just opened the bottle...its like nectar! The shorthand typed notes are difficult to follow as well as being in small print. If you are going to produce more in this format could you  just give us the whole judgement as written by professional judges and add your comments as you go along.

It's nothing personal Caroline but I hate having to refer back to page 1 for an explanation of all the acronyms,and the point about June's DNA in the silencer which is mentioned has been overlooked so far on this thread at least..

Why don't you download them to your HD and print them? Just a suggestion, it's what I tend to do - more portable that way.

It seems to me, that once the hand swabs had been rejected once at the Lab', because of a real possibility that they may have been contaminated, excluded a second submission of the hand swabs at a later date, because previously the lab' rejected them (DRH/33) because of a very high risk of contamination - you can't ignore the original reason for refusing to accept the hand swabs because of possible contamination at an earlier date, and rely upon results obtained from the same sample after a resubmission of the same hand swabs to the same lab', at a later date - once designated as being potentially contaminated by lab', you cannot treat the potentially contaminated hand swabs (DRH/33) as being a legitimate sample...

Hand swab examination (DRH/33 - DRH/44), and results, was inadmissable, and should not have been allowed to be introduced, to influence the minds of the jury - CPS / DPP were wicked, to allow this situation to happen...

I was once represented by Victor Temple QC, at one of my trials (1988), and I must say I am appalled, that he took the position he took, as representative of CPS / DPP at the (Bamber) 2002 appeal, he should not have been given that responsibility, because of his involvement in my case back in 1988 - I now realise that I was not properly represented at my 1988 trial, when he supposedly represented my interests, since in the bigger picture, he was on the prosecutions side at my trial, trying to get me convicted, because of the intention to keep Jeremy Bamber in Jail, for the rest of his life...

You cannot trust the people, who are supposed to represent your interests...

The full judgement is already posted here.  Mike is posting the notes of the submissions made to the Court of Appeal.  This is very interesting and we should be grateful to Mike for doing this.

Hi Susan,,I'm not quite sure whether Steve does most of his quoting by books,,or whether he knows more than he's letting on. He can take that whichever way he so wishes.
