its not about jeremy bamber steve, its not even about the rest of the killed family its about the house, brady house , demolished, the a wipes from derby who set fire to the house all those kids gone the house and the one next door getting demolished, no rational sane person could move into whf the place should have been flattened , to hell with listed status.
No it's a tribute to the relatives that the Eatons refused to be vanquished by the Jeremy Bambers of this world and children's games once more saw the light of day inside the building and without.

Ive not been able to post much recently as when i log on the forum freezes a bit better tonight so i guess its heave forum activity, im not here to defend mike because he does not need me to do so , but i will say this vic does not speak or represent the relatives, what i think of them i will keep to myself, the fact that they occupy WHF tells me bundles yet so many members to me are too blind to see it , its starting to have structure all this.

Could you possibly explain how you know this about me?

You said that you wouldn't say what you thought of the relatives and then you did?

Have I ever judged you? Why do you think it's ok to judge me?

Houses are only destroyed to prevent ghoulish tourism, to protect the neighbours from intrusion. It's not applicable in this case. Would you believe it, but some people even like to visit graveyards and visit dead celebrities graves! Amazing eh?

If the Eatons wanted to live in the house SOME YEARS after the murders then that's up to them!

In all fairness to Mertol, most people balk at the idea that the Eatons chose to occupy whf. Especially since it was to the detriment of their children, who suffered nightmares when they were small. It isn't even as if white house is a Speakman farm.

I agree Tyler, but surely that was up to them? Bamber fought hard enough for the lease as well.

Always bugged me that. Eatons apply for lease...how could they?....Bamber applies for lease....not a sound...

The point I'm making is that you judge the Eatons for wanting to move in, but Bamber wanted to do the same. I simply don't understand the difference.

The difference as far as I see it is that it was Jeremy's family home, he had (I imagine) many happy memories there. His personal relationship to WHF would be different to that of the Eaton's (IMO).

In one way I agree but you could argue that he was closer to the deceased and would find it harder to live there as a result? It kind of works both ways?

I honestly can't say what I would do in the same situation - I might want to stay to feel close to them but I wouldn't be able to get the tragic event out of my mind. The only thing I can say is, JB didn't get the opportunity to live there, maybe it would have proven too difficult for him in the long run - I guess we'll never know.

Bamber only had himself to think about though, didn't he? He wasn't a parent. Perhaps he thought he could work the farm whilst he remained living at Goldhanger?

Actually, I wasn't trying to be flippant. But I can understand the tribunal after what happened. I imagine that he has a whole load of resentment which I am sure you feel is unjustified - however .....

For what it's worth I'm not sure I could live there but I also understand that they saw it as Nevill and June's lives work and didn't want that to be for nothing.
