I feel that it's high time that a new sentence was bought into law. As well as sentencing the convicted person for the crime, if an innocent person has been imprisoned previously for the crime, the guilty person should have the same time added to the sentence they eventually serve.

Just seen this on Daily Mail comments section regarding this story:
What sort of a jury managed to convict two innocent men? By definition there cannot have been any evidence against them since neither of them committed a crime. So basically, with NO evidence (what evidence can there be against an innocent man?) one can still find oneself banged up for life for murder! A truly horrifying thought! Makes you think people like Jeremy Bamber just might have a point!
