I usually agree with you Curiosity, but did you watch both videos? Brown was libelled and received a grudging apology from the Sun newspaper. The detail discussed is crucial, the allegation being that Tannerman was invented specifically to give Gerry McCann an alibi, whilst Smithman was ignored unbelievably because that could implicate him. The fact that the McCanns dismissed Smithman so casually speaks volumes to my mind.
Pat Brown's claim is that Gerry McCann carried a drugged-up, deceased Madeleine down Rua da Escola Primaria (the Smith sighting who couldn't describe exactly what he looked like) to the shore where he found an upturned boat, hid her body beneath it, then when the search had cooled off a day or so later, retrieved her in dead of night and along with one of the other Tapas 7 for support, walked all the way eastwards along the shore to the base of Rocha Negra, climbed up further to conceal Madeleine's by now festering body under rocks in a shallow gully.
Weeks later when the McCanns took possession of a hire car, they returned to said location to uncover her rotting corpse once again and drive miles away to Brown's god-knows-where location, Gerry this time well-prepared with suitable spade to finally dispose of his daughter's remains. All too far-fetched and highly unlikely in my view.
Jane Tanner's sighting was genuine enough, and much later discovered to be a Dr.Totman carrying his daughter from the holiday village creche -

That could easily have been Brueckner whose Jaguar or VW campervan was parked conveniently in an unlit shore location further west for a quick getaway back to his yellow and white rented lair in the Rocha Negra foothills.
I would much rather put my trust in the Bundeskriminalamt to solve this case rather than a subscriber/donation-obsessed, self-proclaimed YouTube profiler.
