Jeremy didn´t like those dogs particularly, did he, is there any evidence of that? The little dog inside the dog which Jeremy "inherited" didn´t like HIM in any case. No big animal lover, Jeremy. My impression anyway.

Hi Alias  :)

I think if you read AE'S statement you will find that the little dog which was inside the house was nick named "The Pest" She goes on to say that Jeremy disliked the dog; how she knew this I don't know.

The other dog which was black lab?, which was kept outside went to PB's I believe after the tragedies.

Crispy known as the pest, went to live with Jeremy, but was later put to sleep.... :(

If my son and I have words my dog goes under the table out of the way....or he comes to sit with me...he doesn't like raised voices...lol   :) :) :) :)

The bible should have been relevant though, as it contained notes ( suicide.? ) that never came to light. I think June put it on top of Sheila by way of a hint.

June ?

June ?

My own theory,BG. Those two women fought to the finish. For 10 years,Sheila had to live with the fact that she was called " the devils' child " after June found her in the field with a farm-worker.

Anyway,,,back to the dog/s. If my intention had been to shoot the family,,then I'd surely have shot an old yapping dog first.

So if Jeremy didn´t like Crispy and Crispy didn´t like Jeremy, and Jeremy had it put down later anyway (or was that Ann Eaton?), why would he not have spent a quick bullet to quiet it down? That dog was barking, the dog in the outside shed too.

Alias

we have discussed the dogs at WHF several times and have wondered if an intruder was entering through a window Crispy would have barked and maybe woke Ralph whilst the intruder was collecting the gun etc.  It has been said that Jeremy did not like the dog Crispy and one wonders if he was the intruder why he just did not shoot Crispy at the start to shut the dog up :(

Hi Susan,,,those dogs are excitable by their very nature,,so there wouldn't have had to have been an intruder,,just someone going crackers around the house would set it off. Doubtless it probably yapped when the children played with it too. They yap at the least thing. Not like the alsation I once had who rarely barked,,just pounced stealthily and quietly. Fabulous animal.

Hi,my hubby and I have discussed the dogs many a time.
I think many anti's believe that Jeremy planned to murder them all in their beds as sleeping targets, the easiest way?
But surely JB would have known that they would bark and this would have ruined his element of "surprise"?
We believe, that due to the dogs, whoever was responsible for the murders, was already in that house that night.
So,either Sheila was indeed the killer,or, Jeremy was already inside that house (having never gone home that evening,or having gone home briefly and came back).

Hi tyler

good post my sentiments exactly.  Any slight noise at night and dogs bark especially the little ones as they will be nervous and trying to show how brave they are :(

He would have thought of that, as he was there every day. It would seem logical to silence the dogs in order to eliminate one stress factor in what must have been an extremely stressful endeavour and to avoid that the dogs woke the family up (he could also just have sedated them earlier in the evening when he was there, Julie´s pills, all that... besides, wasn´t he a self confessed rabbit killer and allegedly an avid rat-strangler.... :P)

P.S. Susan, don´t worry.

Haha.........indeed  ;)
However,if he had sedated the dogs, then he didn't do a very good job,as they were barking like mad!
Btw....if you are one of my fav previous members, then hi....its great to see you back!
