Is This The Northern Equivalent Of June And Sheila/Their Relationship?

The following was shown earlier in the week:

Jeanette Winterson: My Monster and Me

For those of you who don't know, Jeanette is a best-selling author who has won many literary awards.  She was adopted at birth (I think) 1960 and raised by Mrs Winterson in Accrington.

There are striking parallels between Jeanette Winterson and her adoptive mother, who she only ever referred to as Mrs Winterson, and June and Sheila:

Mrs Winterson is a religious fanatic who refers to Jeanette as the Devil's child and preaches 24/7.

Jeanette attempts suicide when her partner leaves (female - she's a lesbian) (More men for us girls  :) )

Jeanette meets with her birth mother.

(Patti you will love it.  Right up your street quite literally.  Plenty of 2 ups and 2 downs some with running water and electricity.  They say 'boooook' instead of 'book'.  Patti I love you really despite our cultural differences  ;)  :) )

Ha! You are the second person to tell me they love me today.  The first one was really special and it melted my heart and the thought that someone who I had never met before could say such endearing words over whelmed me, to the point of tears. 

It does not matter who we are, what shape we are, what colour we are or what culture we are...we are unique human beings living in a today's worlds which is so full of love.  It is only the minority that have loveless thoughts, but, I feel they are the ones that need loving the most....So thank you Naughty Nun for telling me you love me, though you don't know me...I love thee back..as we Yorkshire folk put it....

Hello april  one of my hobbies is getting married so I thought it would save changing my surname all the time :)

Why have we got this thread about June and Sheila. Personally I find it disrespectful.  We dont know what their relationship was like...only other peoples opinions. Imo
