"For safe keeping.!" I've heard that one before,,a pretty familiar expression.
Hi Lookout
The following is an excerpt from Wilkes' book:
Jeremy branded his relatives 'a pack of vultures all wanting to see what they're going to get out of it'
Jeremy admits saying words to this effect. 'By the time of the funeral.' he says, I'd already fallen out with the Boutflours and the Eatons. No sooner had the police released the house to me than Ann Eaton, Robert Boutflour and David Boutflour had gone in, stolen my mother's jewellery (they said they took it with Basil Cock's permission), removed all the cash from around the house and taken all the guns, ammunition and various other items'.
'I was appalled by their actions, especially when they started claiming that Mum had said they could have this painting and that china set and other items. What shocked me was the way they presumed it was their right to take and lay claim to whatever they fancied. It turned me against offering them the opportunity to choose things they wanted as mementoes from the house.'
No offence to anyone close to the relatives just quoting from the book/Jeremy.
