Elaborate?

Well Barbara Wilson always appeared to me as an efficient secretary, perceptive whose word I would take, yet there's an anecdote in Roger Wilkes' book where she absconds for a short time shortly before the trial, which I hadn't reconciled with my picture of her,nor of her being a reckless driver as also mentioned by Wilkes.

So you view April and I as efficient secretary types but who, at any moment might let our hair down? :)

Perhaps she had mixed feelings about her testimony? Some people are very nervous about attending court. Some barristers like to try to tie you in knots and confuse you.

And yet she did testify didn't she Lugg? And she was quite adamant that her words were not going to be twisted as often a clever barrister can put a different complexion on something. Jeremy had his feet up on the desk in Nevill's den and was barking orders to her, as Nevill had similarly predicted when he knew all his papers and mementoes of the past would be discarded in favour of a computerized system.

Barbara was one of those women juggling work and family(I don't know how they do it),running errands and ferrying her family hither and thither to friends and clubs. Her offer of delivery of the children's bicycle on the Tuesday evening would be one more item on the agenda.

Hi Steve_uk

Thanks for the above very amusing  ;D.  Perhaps this should be a split topic/off topic?

My card to Steve_uk: A card depicting a storyteller dressed as a fairy at a childrens' Christmas party.  Oh and wearing a short/summer wetsuit as an undergarment to hold his bits in.

Sorry to disappoint, but I'm far more like Nicky Byrne, though with more intelligence. And I don't think you should bring fairies into this looking at the subject of this thread,do you?

Of Westlife fame? And I think (or I would 'hope') that we have moved on from calling members of the gay fraternity 'fairies' which was your implication! And as you credit yourself with intelligence, I would have thought that such a comment was beneath you!

Caroline the implication was in Naughty Nun's thread, where she is spreading the same mischief evident in her initial avatar a week or two ago.
