As you all know the Forum was hacked on Friday evening, as a result of which it crashed.  Efforts continued throughout yesterday and until the early hours of this morning to identify the problem and recover the forum.  Caroline worked tirelessly on this and without her efforts recovery would have taken far longer.  I would like to thank Caroline on behalf of all members for her assistance.

Caroline has extensive IT experience and has agreed to assist in preventing problems like this occurring in the future.  I am pleased to announce that Mike has agreed to the promotion of Caroline to Administrator.

Thanks for the update ngb and thanks Caroline. Brilliant job. I thought it had been hacked when I saw that JeremyBamber.com was up for sale.

Awwwwwwwwwwww that's great news Neil...and thank you to you all for the work you have done on all our behalves.  I for one am so glad the forum is back on track and to the hacker/s well I'd best keep those words too myself...

Yes Patti people do want to keep us quiet with regard to Jeremy Bamber infact some people would like to see the forum shut down completely but we are here for the final victory for Jeremy Bamber you mark my words. ;D ;D ;D

Come to think of it Lugg I think I saw something too...and I looked at it..then whoosh! This is the time BT told me that I had unusual activity on my account...Honestly I am not making this up...I tell you something, I hope I hope the toerag/s that hacked this forum get his/her cummupence. They must think they have the right to enter our forum hack it and try to destroy it.  If I was admin on here I would delete all the accounts not being used for a start....because those that are genuine will apply for another.  I also think that anyone applying for an account should hand over there phone number and be rang up to confirm their details...I'm not sure if this can be done, but its worth being more stringent to save this from happening again.... ;D ;D ;D ;D

I wondered why I couldn't access the forum on my phone, while in York for a 40th yesterday.  Well there you go. Hackers eh? "Booooooo!".

Well done Caroline, who in my opinion has been a real asset to the forum for a long while now.  8)
