Gun in kitchen on night of 6th August.
« on: February 25, 2011, 10:14:AM »
I beleive, it has been detailed Jeremy left White House Farm at 9.30 pm on the evening of 6th August.(Please correct if incorrect).

It has been detailed Jeremy went outside the farmhouse with the loaded gun because he had heard some rabbits. (Please correct if incorrect).

It has been detailed Jeremy left the loaded gun in the kitchen before leaving. (Please correct if incorrect).

It has been detailed there were discussions about the potential fostering of the twins during the evening of 6th August. (Please correct if incorrect).

Presumably the above events will all have occured before Jeremy left White House Farm at 9.30 pm.(Please correct if incorrect).

It has been detailed the farm secretary, Barbara Wilson, phoned Nevill at about 9.30 pm, and said he was "short" with her. (Please correct if incorrect).

It has been detailed Nevill Bamber was most particular in relation to guns on the farm. (Please correct if incorrect).

If all the above are true then it appears to be the case Nevill Bamber was in the kitchen where a loaded gun and ammunition were lying around. (Please correct if incorrect).

Would a "short" Nevill Bamber have secured the gun away in the gun cupboard or just ignored the gun laying around because he was in a "short" mood? or was the gun ever left in the kitchen on the night of the 6th August?

I do not think Nevill was very fussy about the security of guns at WHF. I know someone who has guns and they must be kept in a strong cupboard bolted to floor and wall and locked. This is subject to spot checks from the police, who issue the gun licence, and if the guns are found not to be kept in this matter, then the license can be withdrawn.
I have seen photographs from the morning of the murders and read witness statements which suggest that the guns at WHF were not stored in this fashion.
