I read that MB is April's step-uncle.Maybe there were previous concerns regarding him or he may have previous?Did the police charge him after forensically searching his house and vehicle does anyone know?

theres also the matter of the changeing times for her going missing.

In the mean time I think the accused man should be treated as if he is innocent, until proven guilty in a court of law. Huh? That's a laugh.

I have been wondering about this case..it has gone real quiet..do we know why he was charged?? I guess the trial will be interesting.. we can not form an opinion anything until the trial begins and media have a field day..either way I get the feeling that who ever is in the dock on trial is going to get convicted.. regardless....

He is due back in court on this date, but I'm not sure if he is due to make a plea on this date.

Yes, the mother of 2 of MB's children, had a sister who had children by Aprils father Paul.

Personally I don't think there were any concerns about him or Aprils family would not have allowed him to be with the children unsupervised.  April and his own children were with him alone "crabbing" in April of this year.  He obviously took an active interest in his own children and if there were concerns of any sort, this could have been stopped in its tracks if the mother was concerned in any way.  Locals have been very vocal in the press at the beginning and there was never any mention of him being a dodgy character.  The worst, the press could get was that he was a ladies man and kept chickens in a rented house.

IF there was any previous concerns about him from Aprils family or his own family, or if he had previous convictions relating to children, then there will be people in high places who will have a lot to answer for, IMO.

i would of also though aprils family would have gone straght to his house if he was the man she went of with.

I agree.  Here is what he was charged with.  There must be a reason why they start the date as the 30th September, does anyone know what this reason is?


The full charges read to Bridger were: "First charge, on the 30th of September 2012, and 3rd October 2012, at Machynlleth, you murdered April Sue Lyn Jones, contrary to common law.

"Second charge, on the first day of October 2012, at Machynlleth, without lawful authority, or reasonable excuse, took April Sue Lyn Jones, a child under the age of 16, so as to keep her out of the lawful control of a person entitled to lawful control of the said child.

"Third charge, between 30th September 2012 and 3rd October 2012 at Machynlleth, with intent to pervert the course of justice, did an act mainly the unlawful disposal and concealment of the body of April Sue Lyn Jones, which had a tendency to pervert the course of public justice."

If the police thought he was the man at the river with a black bag at 1pm on the day after April went missing, why was the search not focussed on the river alone from the minute they had this information.  Why search hills and caves and other places at the early stages, if there thoughts were that she was in the river and heading out to sea, (as has been suggested).  Even now when the search has stopped in the river and immediate area, they are continuing to search quarries, woodland etc, which leads me to believe that they have no idea where she is, and that MB has not confessed to anything, (which has also been suggested).

and all these kids knew mark Bridger so if he was the man who took her why wasn't he named straight away.

hes wasnt named till later.

surely the police would of announced she had been abducted by Bridger not that she was missing and they would of announced this straight away.
