Really interested in hearing what evidence the police had to charge him, anyone know at this stage?

I would like to know what evidence they have that she is actually dead.  Even if they were not to divulge this evidence in detail, I would have thought that they would have to have a good reason to inform Aprils parents that their little daughter would not be coming home alive.

Hi OnceSaid :)

I agree without April being found, then there is no evidence that she is no longer with us.  The CPS will have a rough ride trying to convince a jury that she was murdered unless of course they already have that evidence at hand.....

Are they still looking, I've not read any news today or yesterday....

Do you now I can't use smiles on here....sorry...

I have just read this! I wonder if we need to take advice on whether or not we should be discussing this case on a public forum?

(Others posted speculation about what happened to the little girl, despite the fact that public discussion of the case is forbidden under contempt-of-court laws until the trial concludes)

Hi Patti, what I'm trying to say is, (not what evidence they have or dont have against MB atm) but what evidence do the police have that April is actually dead?  The police and the press are sending out mixed messages to the public IMO,  but surely Aprils parents must have been given an explanation by the police as to why there little girl would not be coming home, and to give an explanation they would have to have evidence of some sort that she was dead, charging MB with murder is not enough to satisfy me that they have evidence that April is dead.  Hope that makes sense  ;)

I'm not sure, I would think that as long as people are respectful and not making false accusations, it shouldnt be a problem, but probably best to double check, but who would know the answer?

Until the trial concludes?  Does this mean just with the MB case, or any case of charges awaiting trial?

Hi. It is suspicion of murder he has been charged with, I think! So does this mean they only suspect him of this awful crime?

I would think that they have no evidence that she is no longer with us....there is no proof of that.

I am just amazed that they have any evidence at all, but I doubt they would have been able to charge him with two offences if they had nothing...surely they have something?....We will have to wait till January when he appears in court again....

He is charged with murder.  He was initially arrested on suspicion of abduction, he was then rearrested on suspicion of murder, he was then charged with murder, abduction and of unlawfully disposing of and concealing her body with intent to pervert the course of justice.

He has 3 charges against him, abduction, murder, and perverting the course of justice.  You would think that they would have to "have something" to charge him, but as we have found out too many times before, this is not always the case.

I think it will be way past January 2013 before we hear anything relating to any evidence that the police may have.  When he appears in court in January it will be to plead to the charges against him.

Hi OnceSaid, you are correct it states the charges on this video.....http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-19853582

I think you are also correct about it being well into next year before the case will be in court....He will asked how he pleads first....I should then think a date will be set for trial...?????

There are so many stories, but they dont seem to be consistent.  Initially April was supposed to have went missing at 7.30pm, it the changed to 7pm and then we read that Aprils mum had called Aprils godmother at 6.50pm to say that April had been abducted. I'm not suprised that the public are wanting answers to simple questions.

that could just be a miss print by the papers.

or the wrong time could have been given out in the first place.

i would think if she went missing at 730 then her mum made the call at 750.not 650. and its just a missprint.
