Thank you for your welcome
i am new to this and hope to be able to join in on this forum, but realise some on here are antagonistic, which is a shame and stressful, but i really appreciate your warm welcome so look forward to your views.. thanks paris x
Hi Paris, I wrote quite a lengthy post on Duane's thread last night, and my computer crashed on me

Part of what I had said was, is that, from what I have read so far, you are at the start of a very long journey. Use this time to get as much factual information on your sons case out into the public domain and continue to update it if and when you can. Fighting against injustice can be a lonely and frustrating road, but you will, over time, meet some lovely supportive people. My advice to you would be to highlight your sons case whenever and wherever you can, make contact with various miscarriage of justice groups and ask for their help and support. Surround yourself with genuine likeminded people. People on the inside need a voice on the outside when they are claiming to have suffered an injustice, the more people hear and read about the case, the more chance that Duane and his family will gain support.
People are not backward in coming forward, especially on the internet. If they research a case with the information available to them and do not believe that a moj has occurred they dont hold back and will tell you so, but on the other hand you may gain support from people who think that a moj may have occured and will help you highlight the case. Then you have the trolls who are everywhere and are hard to avoid, but can be very cruel in their words.
I wish you the best of luck. I will continue to read up on your sons case, infact I have a couple of questions already.

I'll go and find his thread.
ATM I am trying to read up on the JB case. There is so much reading to do in this particular case, and not enough hours in the day. There are other miscarriage of justice cases highlighted on this forum that you may also find interesting and informative, I know you probably wont have the time to read them all but it shows that moj are not unique, as there are many many people who claim to be factually innocent of the crimes that they were convicted of. Proving it is a different story.
