Who is David Shaw?
« on: February 17, 2011, 09:55:AM »
I've been reading a very long manuscript by David Shaw on Sleuthing for Justice, and it's actually very interesting.

Who is David Shaw? Has he had a book published?

Which thread is that under on Sleuthing for Justice? I wouldn't mind taking a look at that myself. Can't help you with who he is though I'm afraid.

you need to email them with a username and password and they will set up an account which you can then change the password on.

Thanks Kaldin for getting me hooked on this David Shaw manuscript  :D

I have been reading for hours and am only about half way through

Do you think it could be David Shaw aka Mike Teskowski?

Actually I have a suspicion that Mike has been quoting from this document and not disclosing the fact that they are infact NOT his own words.
That is probably why I feel I have read certain parts word for word on this forum.
Of course if I am wrong then Mike you have my unreserved apology.

No problem - David Shaw is a very interesting Character - some of his friends worked on the case, attended the scene, provided inside information...

Wonder what exhibits some of the police involved in this sordid affair, retained in case they were ever prosecuted?

Interesting....
"Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when we first practice to deceive"...

Shaw's work is rather strange - it reads like a novel even though much of it is fact, and the evidence to support the account is mostly ignored; various details are not quite right. However, the description of the trial makes a good read. If it were published, a libel suit might result.

I agree that some details aren't quite right. A lot of it sounds a bit like the stuff that Mike has been saying.

I found it interesting because it followed the events in chronological order, which made it easy to follow, and it gave some insight into the personalities of the people involved - people like Stan Jones and Julie Mugford. I don't know how accurate it is though. Some conversations were reported as if he was there in the interviews.

If you're not registered on the sleuthing site, try this link instead, which is a Google cache of it.

I googled him some time ago and from what I can recall David Shaw (a pseudonym) is an Australian who wrote a book in the style of a novel which talked about the use of steroids, I think, in sport - in weight training?  I'm sure he makes a mention of the book somewhere in the thread you are referring to.  I think I found his book is on Amazon.com.
