Hi Tyler. If you look in the photo section in the archives; there are two photo's in there. One with a wall and one without a wall.....at the front of the house on the left hand side as you view the pic.  :) :) :)

Surely you mean one which shows the curved wall, and another which doesn't reallly show the wall because of the angle it's taken at.

How's your head? :)

Patti hi  :) ........yes.I see the side wall in the photos, but have never physically been around that side of the house.I have only ever been in the area by the back door and the front field.Nobody can dispute the side wall as it is there in the photographs, but I am just saying that I do not recall ever seeing any wall running along the front of the house, only a hedge. This was,in fairness,a few years back,so dont know if the hedge is still there.

Your at it again!  >:(

To me Bridget the wall was built after the crime as was the front porch...but it is not curved, well not the one on the Red side anyway....The one on the white side is....

Do you like fresh pineapple?

I'm very delicate. Still trying to walk straight....Hey Vic is buying drinks... :) :) :) :)

I love fresh pineapple but it burns my mouth if I eat too much of it!

There isn't, and never has been a wall on the red side, what you are seeing is the curved wall protruding from the white side. It doesn't look curved because of the angle at which you are looking at it. Here is a view of it from the other side:

See how the curve is straightened out by the angle when you compare it to this:

So it's a hair of the dog is it? ;) ;)

At the end of the front lawn, the end opposite from the duck pond (to the south east of the house), there is a decorative semi-circular wall, although I have a feeling that it was not there in '85.

Is that the one that Vic says is 7 foot tall and used to have urns on it?

Hi Tyler :) There is another photo that has no wall...I am not sure when they were taken though...It appears that the wall was built sometime after the tragedies....I'm not 100% sure about it to be fair...

I think Bews, Myall and JB crouched down behind a wall......I suspect that wall to be the one at the back of the farm house, which is the curved one, or the one approximately 30 yards back which is a straight one....I strongly suspect it was the latter, for the curved one is too close to the house....and would have been too risky for them  to be too close to the house, considering the circumstances.... :) :) :) :)

Both the curved wall (shown above) and the 1m high straight concrete block wall enclosing the rear yard, were present in 1985.

This is the view from the red side.... 8) 8) 8)

That photo is from about 1860!!!  8) 8) 8)

Well maybe not quite that old, but certainly many many decades before 1985.

But you can't see the main bedroom window from either of them, can you?

I don't believe it did, it's not on the line of a natural boundary, it's more akin to a folly.
