Mertol  :) :) :) :)

I doubt they could have chosen the right spot Mertol.  Remember when I hit that Badger? I went back the next day and for the life of me I could not remember the exact place where I hit it....and I know the road well.... :) :) :) :)
I just find it nit picking patti about the speed making it into a statement ,why is that so important he was told to meet at WHF not arrive before them , i was under the view that was what he was doing nothing more.

JB actually asked to be collected from his cottage (to add to his alibi, IMO.)

I find it odd that this was a bone of contention so early on when the police were treating it as a murder/suicide?????????  :) :) :) :)

Not every officer thought it was murder suicide, patti. Even from the begining some officers had doubts.

the fact that they noticed and remembered this type of driving is out of normal thinking to me patti, if i was one of those officers that night on the way to WHF i would be thinking ahead on arrival what steps to take , my 1st would be to safeguard the public, what did they do ask a member of the public to join them with no blind thought what was ahead.

It's interesting that Mike now acknowledges that Sheila didn't shoot herself twice. But IMO ludicrous to think that a police officer shot her. Ripples in a pond. Can you imagine how many people have had to cover that up over the years?

Would the "member of the public" be the man who called them, told them that his father had begged him to "come quick, your sister's gone crazy with the gun" and advised them that his sister was "a nutter" and the house was full of loaded guns?

Not to me. To me he sounded old school, "my way or the highway."

"Let's get this sewn up, my mates are on the green waiting for me to join them in a 4 ball."  IMO.

How many wanted to claim the million quid, how many had nothing to lose going to the press, how many wanted a bit of glory......
