What makes you think I haven't suffered anything like it? Cancer is so common in my family I have more checkups than normal people do. But I haven't posted that on here so you wouldn't know that, you can't just say "You're so lucky you haven't experienced....."  When you don't know me.   


I just don't believe the stress he has in his offline life means he can come onto the internet and be abusive.

Yes I was aware that I didnt know what has happened in your life. I am aware that we all get shit in our lives. I have had two unrelated cancers but I only mention this so you will understand that I onow a bit of what Im talking about. I was 26 when i had my first illness.All Im saying is that its tough for grahame and while he would not like us to be all soppy about it and Im sure he deals with it  really well we should remember these things and actually we shouldnt judge. imho

Mat, I agree entirely that "stress shouldn't really be used as an excuse to be abusive and foulmouthed" but it's harder, by far, to accept and do nothing about abuse hurled at loved ones who can't defend themselves, than at ones self. I imagine he was experiencing feelings of anger, impotence and vulnerability. I feel that his vulnerability may have been exploited by subtle provocation, because those responsible were aware of which buttons to push to get the greatest response.

I am sorry for his distress and I hope that things in his world improve enough for him to come back to the forum soon.

Hi April, It was my opinion about stress etc not Grahame's, it was my take on the situation and I think there is nothing wrong with compassion.  Grahame has never himself ever expressed or made excuses for himself because of his own troubles.  Mat needs to stop being so self righteous, he is always the victim, never does anything, can always find someone else to blame for any trouble he stirs up.  That conversation was between myself and mat, Grahame had already cancelled his profile.

It's not self righteous to defend yourself IMO. Grahame has attacked me and wanted me banend since I joined, long before I was a member of the other forum - he sued me being a meber of the other forum as motivation for his own game.

I'm not the only one that Grahame has posted vile abuse againt these last 3 days. But for better or worse, I am the one who has fought back the most.

But now that he's gone I hope a line can be drawn underneath it. If I was a new member wanting to join the forum I'd feel more confident about doing so now that Jackie and Grahame aren't here as IMO these are the two people that made my time horrible when I was new.

I have learnt from Jackie that Grahame is indeed a genuine and loving man.

He appears to wear his heart on his sleeve and in so doing, believes other posters are genuine like himself.

I remember (years ago) posting on facebook, when I also thought people were like minded.....

It's not so long ago mat that you were telling jackie that Jeremy Bamber's extended famly were in the act of suing her while you were pretending to be somebody or other in the know.. Well that wasn't so nice or so harmless was it.
