Serious Concerns raised by Sheila's doctor, over care provided for Sheila...

In a letter addressed to Sheila's psychiatrist, Dr Ferguson, dated the 15th July 1985, Sheila's doctor, M. Angeloglou, wrote the following:-

"Dear Dr Ferguson,

Mrs. Sheila J. Caffell, D.O.B. 18.7.57. 2 Morshead Mansions, Morshead Rd
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This lady has urged us to reduce her haldol to 100mg monthly.

She has not been followed up by anyone since she last saw you other than myself.

I would beg if you could let me know what arrangements you have made for her follow up. If none, I will arrange for her to be seen by the psychiatrist at the Paterson wing, St Mary's hospital, London, W9..

Yours sincerely

M. Angeloglou".

Handwritten at the bottom of this letter was recorded the following information:-

"thank you for your letter dated May 1985 which I received Friday".

In response, in a confidential letter, addressed to Dr M. Angeloglou, from Dr Ferguson, dated 23rd July 1985, the following was stated:-

" Dear Dr, Angeloglou,

I cannot imagine why the letter I wrote should have been so delayed in reaching you.

I fell very strongly that her contact with me has been far too erratic and patchy for her needs or my comfort, and I would infinitely prefer her to be under Health Service resources, wich would mean , I feel, some Community Psychiatric Nurse.

It is entirely possible that, if she requires admission, her parents might seek to use St. Andrews, but I sincerely hope that kit will not come to this, although I will be as helpful as needs be.

Please give her my regards and hope that she will remain well in the future.

Needless to say, I hardly feel like making any recommendation about her haldol except to say that is she is coping adequately then monthly would do until she has been reviewed at St Mary's.

Yours sincerely

H. C. Ferguson
Consultant Psychiatrist".

As many of us believed, Mike. Why was this info not used by defence?

Good morning Mike,,,and many thanks for the e-mail.

I was reading a post of yours from October of last year,,where it states that Ann Eaton had confided in Stan Jones by telling him that Sheila once told her that,I quote,," All people are bad and should be killed ",unquote.
This remark was something else that didn't come to light during the trial.
