In response, in a confidential letter, addressed to Dr M. Angeloglou, from Dr Ferguson, dated 23rd July 1985, the following was stated:-
" Dear Dr, Angeloglou,
I cannot imagine why the letter I wrote should have been so delayed in reaching you.
I fell very strongly that her contact with me has been far too erratic and patchy for her needs or my comfort, and I would infinitely prefer her to be under Health Service resources, wich would mean , I feel, some Community Psychiatric Nurse.
It is entirely possible that, if she requires admission, her parents might seek to use St. Andrews, but I sincerely hope that kit will not come to this, although I will be as helpful as needs be.
Please give her my regards and hope that she will remain well in the future.
Needless to say, I hardly feel like making any recommendation about her haldol except to say that is she is coping adequately then monthly would do until she has been reviewed at St Mary's.
Yours sincerely
H. C. Ferguson
Consultant Psychiatrist".
