Defend the post v attack the poster

Morning everyone

I don't wish to sound sanctimonious but just reading up on last night's posts...need I say more...

When a poster posts a reply surely he or she can defend the post with their own constructive argument rather than attacking the poster personally?

At the end of the day JB has been charged with 5 murders.  I believe he received an unfair trial and that he is innocent but I appreciate that not everyone sees it this way and they are entitled to their own opinion.

I'm off on holiday later today and will be forum free for a week.  I think I'll then be having a forum rest for a while and doing my own thing to support JB in my own way.  I'm all for breaking off the main thread and having a laugh but all this personal stuff is just a complete waste of time.

Morning to you egap1  I agree with your post and I looked through last nights posting and was quite sickened at what I read I must admit in the end I just clicked off.  I appreciate people are very passionate about their feelings and things get out of hand but I am sure this was not the intention and some of the posters will have regrets this morning.

Anyway very sensible young lady hope you enjoy your holidays and return all refreshed to carry on with your excellent posts.
