i dont see how i sensed in the book sheila wanted colin back , but what happens when love dies yet at most funeral services you hear love is the greatest force of all i think the love died  everyone is different everyone has a life ledger open
Depends what you mean by love I guess. Tovleave someone after 6 months of marriagei when you have twin babies s a bit poor. IMO

From what I gather, the marriage was over before the twins were born.....I am not sure who was at fault. Colin's infidelity, didn't help.....and, Sheila had no support over her abortions and her miscarriage, from her family or Colin...This to me is where Sheila started with her mental health problems....Although, she had her insecurities, prior to meeting Colin...At the end of the day he let her down badly...He admits this of course... ???

I agree Maggie. He seems to come across as a lovely man,but by no means a saint. He was moving on with his life and described her almost as a thorn in his side as she kept on depending on him.Indeed, the very night that she died,he told his girlfriend that he wished Sheila were dead!

Have to say, that I find it interesting that many of you think that Wilkes book is impartial. The book had quite a big input from the Boutflours and the Eatons and I personally think that it shows.Apparently he is still friends with them.
I only realised the other day that mine is a signed copy.Woopidy Doop!  ::)

Cant exuse him mertol. He let her down. She was no doubt difficult but he was old enough to know what he was doing. He had babies with her and abandoned all of them for another woman. He knew she was ill but moved on and left his children....babies with her.

Yes he did, and at the time of the murders they were living with him and only visiting with Sheila.

That was later. Damage had been done.
