According to the evidence provided by police officers, a police surgeon and relatives, Sheila's body was found downstairs in the kitchen, upstairs on the bed, and on the bedroom floor...

The script could not have been so bizarre, Sheila's body was found in three different locations in different parts of the house, yet the jury were only drip fed information about one version, not the other two...

The first two versions which place the find of Sheila's body downstairs in the kitchen' and upstairs on the bed in the main bedroom, were facts deliberstely kept from the defence, and more importantly, kept from the jury...

The first two versions which place the find of Sheila's body downstairs in the kitchen' and upstairs on the bed in the main bedroom, were facts deliberstely kept from the defence, and more importantly, kept from the jury...

This deception allowed the prosecution during the trial, to fool the jury into thinking and accepting that Jeremy stage managed Sheila's body on the bedroom floor, with a rifle atop her body, which some 15 minutes before the raid team forced entry into the premises, was spotted by a firearms instructor (WPC Julia Jeapes) to be leaning up against the bedroom window...

How did Sheila's body get from the kitchen downstairs, to it being upstairs on the bed, and finally how and under what circumstances did her body end up on the bedroom floor? More importantly, how did the rifle which was leaning against the bedroom window at around 7.15am, end up atop Sheila's body by 10am?

You posted that D.C.Clarke told AE that Sheila and June were on the bed and that this fact was repeated at the opening of the inquest. You also said that he later denied having said it.

Yes, Clarke denied that he had said any such thing at all to Ann Eaton about June and Sheila's bodies being found on the bed. He denied this to COLP when he was interviewed in 1991, which was some six years after AE claims he told her on the morning of 7th August 1985. Of course, Clarke would deny the bodies were on the bed to the COLP investigators in 1991, because he would know that during the trial, it was part of the prosrcutions case that Jeremy had carried out the killings himself and stage managed the scene to make it appear as though Sheila was responsible and that she had taken her own life. But on the morning of 7th August 1985, when he told Ann Eaton what he told her at the time he told her, he only knew what he knew, and he had gone to Jeremy's cottage straight from the scene where he had seen what he had seen. The bodies were still on the bed when he left, so when he recounted to AE what he told her, he had no idea that the bodies would be moved to different parts of the bedroom floor, or that PC Bird would take photographs once the bodies had been moved to the bedroom floor, and that the firearms officdrs who went into the premises would adopt the position of the bodies photographdd by Bird as how the bodies had been found upon entry...

" WPC.Jeapes was a trained firearms instructor who had arrived at the scene with the second team of armed officers led by Inspector Montgomery.      At about 7.15am,,,Jeapes saw a rifle leaning against the main bedroom window and made a note of it in her pocketbook.
This is interesting,,,because at that point, no police officers had entered the farmhouse, and neither Jeremy,,Sergeant Bews, or PC.Mayall--------who had all looked through that very same window-----had noticed the gun.        Nobody got to hear about this gun for 19 years because WPC.Jeapes witness statement was conveniently placed in the " Undisclosed Material " file.

Mike, thankyou for that clarification. I read and reread your original post on this and then precisied it for my own bebefit. You also said that after telling AE about the position  in which HE had had seen June and Sheilas bodies, he, Clarke, was "ordered to go WITH Jeremy to his cottage to get a witness statement"

POINT 1. Jeremy was there. Surely he must have heard the conversation.
POINT 2. What is there to say, that  after taking said witness statement, Clarke didn't return to WHF and join the group responsible for moving the bodies? It would further explain why he later denied having said it, which was to the families advantage.

Seems strange that you can guess what is or is not contained in Myalls and Bewes statements, which, just like Saxby's and Collins statements, have never been posted on the forum. How bizarre indeed considering these four people play such a starring role in many of Mikes theories.
