Although obviously surprised and disappointed by the CCRC Jeremy has picked himself up and is clearly focussed upon the next steps.  The options available (which I described earlier) are being discussed with Simon McKay.  Jeremy remains positive and committed to securing a fresh appeal and clearing his name.  He is used to setbacks but has retained his strength of character.  He will need that strength to see him through this difficult period.

I have urged that divisions between supporters of Jeremy should be overcome as they are an impediment to successful campaigning.  Jeremy is well aware of my views on this, which I have reiterated to him today.

Neil, I wonder how easily we could make this happen.  Do you have any ideas?

Could it be that the CCRC denied a referal because of possible embarrassment through not referring earlier appeals.  The facts put before them then were just as important as they have now
Get rid of the quangos. Not many cases get referred. They're a hinderance to justice not a help.

[/quote]Really hope he can take this on board ngb, and sort it out his end, it is really a waste of talent to have these divisions, wherever they are, Jeremy needs all the help he can get to bring his case into the public psyche.

Get over yourself, this man crept into the room of two young sleeping thumb sucking kids and blew their brains out.
Would you feel the same disgust I wonder if it were proved that Sheila did it? Just think of that one before you answer. Would you be just as condemning towards her if she is proven to have committed the crime and would you have opened up a forum dedicated to hateful and spiteful remarks towards those who would show sympathy towards her if it were her if she were proved to have killed her family. Or is the fact that your hate is directed towards Jeremy because he was the only one who survived?

In other cases the family and friends of an accused club together to raise funds etc, which in JB's case ain't gonna happen - except for people like Keira!  Wish I was in a similar position.  But we can't leave it all to her.  How did Simon Mckay fund the Arizona tests?

There are few references to "facts" being discussed in relation the CCRC decision.

They are not clear facts, as some can be argued either way / differently or dismissed as mistakes.

I think the wording in the telegraph article, as posted by Curious, sums the latest submission up quite well!

Taken from article;

Announcing its decision the CCRC said: “Matters of pure speculation or unsubstantiated allegation constitute neither new evidence nor new argument capable of giving rise to a real possibility that the Court of Appeal will quash a conviction. Neither can such a real possibility arise from the accumulation of multiple unsubstantiated allegations.”

The Statement concluded: “The Commission is satisfied that nothing in the submissions made by and on behalf of Mr Bamber or any issues raised in the recent documentary can, either individually or cumulatively, give rise to a real possibility that the Court of Appeal would find any of Mr Bamber’s convictions to be unsafe.”
Now turn that round the other way in favour of Jeremy Bamber as if the judge was saying it. You will find that the be a more accurate statement if it were in favour of JB.

Gemini - It is a very sensitive subject and one which concerns me greatly.  I do have ideas but it does require a change of attitude on the part of some people and I believe that only Jeremy can exert the pressure necessary for that to happen.  I am being careful what I say as I do not want to make things worse, particularly today.

Neil, would you happen to know what the rules are around fundraising and administering the funds for a convicted criminal.  I have thought before a donate button might be useful on the campaign site but wasn't really sure if this was allowed.  I'm sure Simon would welcome some support for more testing etc and give the usual donators a break.  Might be worth trying to capitalize on people's goodwill now in the face of such outrage at the decision.  Only a thought!  Thank you.

Have a look at this twitter, and i just came across it about 2 mins ago.

http://twitter.com/#!/crimewriter1

I'm only saying this as i don't like to see people have the wool pulled over their eyes.
He mentions prisons being nothing bu human warehouses. In fact he sounds like the brainless footballer in Monty Python who keeps saying, "I'm op'nin' a boteeek".

Gemini  - I agree with you entirely and we will look into the possibilities.  I will discuss this with Simon McKay and Jeremy and will report back.

Is that as far as your empathy reaches??? 2 thumb sucking kids? I find this statement disgusting and pathetic you idiot! They were 2 little boys loved and cherished by all, Sheila was in a bad place and what she did was dispicable but she had been let down her whole life .... I am speechless at your comment!!
