Does anyone know how many magazines there were in whf? How many were found? Where were they found? Were they partially loaded, fully loaded or empty?

There were normally three magazines kept at WHF.  There is only reference to one in the police statements.  It was inserted in the Anschutz rifle and was empty when found.

Remember case when at college but it's always been high profile esp. in Feb this year with discussion of new evidence. Bit disappounted the more I look at it, would have expected all to be more clear cut with analysis right down to victim's belly fluff but I guess unlike most modern murder investigations fault of lilitations of time as well as cock ups made by police in initial stages. How bout you?

I find it strange that no other prints were found on the murder weapon, except one from Sheila and one from Jeremy.  I think there were 3 more impartial prints.

If the theory that Nevill fought with Shelia you would expect at least one print on there from Nevill....

You could say the same about the theory Jeremy fought with Nevill.

Fingerprints are easily smudged or wiped.

Does anyone have access to original trial transcript/ documents? Was there or has there been any agreement/ disagreement between defence and prosecution about whether different magazines were used or if the magazines were re-loaded as the killings occurred?

There is no full transcript of the trial evidence available but trascripts of some of the evidence are posted on this forum.  There are witness statements in the Archive section and elsewhere.  I do not believe that the possibilty of more than one magazine being used was raised at the trial.  It appeared to be common ground between the prosecution and the defence that the only weapon used was the Anschutz rifle and that only one magazine was used, initially loaded with 10 rounds and then reloaded at least twice.

Absolutely Ngb and one of Jeremy's prints were on the weapon, but on the but end....

I heard that Nevill cleaned all the guns and put them away....but from what I have read, there were guns
all over the place, even two hidden under some clothes on the back stairs.....

Plus a shot gun in the office and a 410 in the shower.......and more....

Also on the back stair case were cartridges and a two bullet belts.....

The rifle could have been wiped but it had blood on it and some fingerprints so I doubt if it was wiped.

I'm researching the Blackwater villages and towns and one side of my family comes from there, from Goldhanger, D'Arcy and many of the villages nearby. Those of my family who lived locally at the time of the murders did not accept that Jeremy had it in him to kill his family and believed him innocent. I agree with them.

Jeremy Bamber does not have a murderer's profile: sadly, poor Sheila did. There was no hard evidence to convict Jeremy and much to suggest he did not do it.

The evidence was all circumstantial, key evidence (silencer/ blood/ bodies) was tampered with, or on the say so of an unreliable, jilted girlfiend who sold the story she had refined during over 30 rehearsals with the police prior to the trial to TNoW - the case should have been retried for this reason alone. So, justice was perverted by the cheque book journalism of a newspaper that is notorious for this. The jilted girlfriend had flown into a rage and had tried to kill Jeremy over his relationship with her friend. her story was riddled with errors and contradictions.

The extended family who gave evidence against Jeremy stood ot gain by this: they were awarded the Bambers' estate due to Jeremy's conviction. A substantial volume of key evidence was disgracefully withheld from the defence, judge and jury and even from the prosecution at the trial. Key documents went missing or were altered. Police botched the investigation. Jeremy's defence was dreadfully weak. The judge botched his summing up and misled the jury.

The above are just a few of my reasons for believing that Jeremy was denied a fair trial and that his conviction is unsafe and one of the greatest miscarriages of justice of our time.
