There is definitely text at the top of page 4, that looks like a continuum of a previous page, not a date as all the other dates are given.

Might try magnifying it when I get a moment.

Hope this isn't censorship...

I think it just says Monday 12th Aug at the top of page 4.

Why has it been indented differently to all other dates?

Not sure, but it does say that.

JB said in a letter  to Mike that he can now tell what documents have been altered , i am not sure whether this is part of what he wanted the CCRC to give him more time over , which they refused , but seem to have now allowed , maybe Mike would know .

It also reads as if he was a more a "i'm a nosey neighbour" type and that he would contact and befriend the police at the earliest opertunity.

Totally agree with you Pete.

I don't know anything about this guy, but he comes across as someone who dislikes JB from the off, is obssessed as to whether or not JB is gay and seems to rely upon a lot of heresay to try and strengthen his case and show JB in a bad light.

He questions JB not calling the Police straight away. Well I ask, why didn't they call the lead detective at that point straight away when the silencer was found? Why risk contamination of evidence and evidence chain by taking it round to someone else's house? If they saw bloody marks on the window sill like they alledge they did, then get the Police round to document it, get it enetered in as evidence, don't just harp on about it.

Oh - I see flicking down this page that Kaldin has said this too!

Agree the level of homophobia in the diary is extreme. Wonder why?

 :D Your welcome.

I am looking forward to reading your book, it sounds like you know a lot more of the scene than the two who previously wrote about it, I am also intrigued by your unique perspective on the case. They came out just after Steve Wright was convicted, so I think they were fairly rushed and didn't offer the depth of detail, that I would have liked.

I know the hairdressers you mean, I have been in the past, but not since I moved back here from London. Looking at their site, they use a lot of products I like, so I may well check them out again.
My hair is really long and in desperate need of a trim!

For Tricksy,

The Paul Harrison / David Wilson book is pretty much a cut and paste. Neil Root's is similar - the covers are almost the same. ( I filmed my own front cover image from a moving car ).

I initially contacted Sky News ( before working for them ) to try and get a message through to Paul Harrison to advise him that the port nearby he kept referring to was actually Felixstowe and not Folkstone.

It seems incredible that no-one at Sky News had picked up on that.

take a look at Roberts musings... page 3...

read to when he goes into the scenario of getting sheila to lie down   and has a bible on her chest (this bit backs up AE being told Sheila was found on the bed with a bible on her chest).

However take note....important....HE HAS HIS FANTASY JB remove the silencer from the rifle before he arranges to shoot Sheila (single shot only mentioned...conversant with early story bandied about).

Later on he goes on to mention cleaning the silencer with tampons...how sad .

NOW THINK FOLKS  this silencer business and views on it being a set up....
If RB and company decide to frame JB with a silencer.....he has the silencer removed for killing Sheila...so what blood is RB going to add to the silencer ..to go along with the paint....

if he has no silencer on for killing Sheila then the blood added to it will be Junes and Ralphs...
far more of theirs  for Anne to clean up and collect (for DB who is fascinated with blood flakes !!)...as most Sheila's ..far less about  as it had been cleaned up originally and was less widespread..burned on carpets or was not present..apart from the knickers in the bucket...harder to get a usable sample from.

Apparently, tampons are used to clean a gun-barrel through - sad but true. Is it feasible that a blood sample could be taken from menstrual blood diluted in water?

AE presumably took Sheila's blood stained trainers home too - and perhaps the black top that could so easily have been tangled up with the trainers?

This diary reads like a novel.

The large number of erasures and corrections are evocative of a novel too.

I know, Choch. But were there trainers? I know that there was underwear, and I remember AE's unpleasant comments, and I've seen the leggings on the bannisters, but I didn't know that there were shoes. I still find it very difficult to come to terms with Sheila being basically naked, except for that flimsy blue nightdress, and she'd rampaged round the house, executing June and the boys, and fighting with Ralph. I'm struggling.

No need to be naked, she was presumably wearing the trainers and pants in the bucket - along with the little black top I'm convinced was tangled up with those trainers. Regarding her footwear, do you not take off your shoes indoors and walk around in your socks?
