Jeremy was under surveillance by the drugs squad on evening his family died

A neighbour of Jeremy's who lived next door to him in Head Street, Goldhanger, reported Jeremy to the police in July 1985, and a drugs squad operation was mounted to find out more about his contacts and associates, some of whom turned out to be Mugfords co lodgrers in London...

This drugs squad operation was set up under a warrant which was for a 28 day duration...

On evening of 6th August 1985, Jeremy Bamber was under surveillance by the drug squad, and therefore he has the perfect alibi and it can be proven that he was not the killer, because the police followed him back to his cottage tht evening from about 9:30pm and noted that he did not leave his cottage until just after 3:30am when he went to the farm as instructed to do so by the police...

The contents of this drugs surveillance have been withheld under pii, but if they could be obtained it would signal the imminent release of Jeremy from these convictions and sentences...

I know the identity of the neighbour informant, and the date in July 1985 when they informed on Jeremy to Essex police. I also know that police were camped inside the neighbours house whilst carrying out parts of the surveillance that I am talking about...

Under these circumstances, how was it possible for Jeremy to snook out of his cottage and go riding on his mothers bike all the way to the farmhouse and back, without being seen or spotted by the drugs surveillance team?

Would they have been in car CA6 by any chance?

why would he be under surveillance by the drug squad.

He was growing cannabis plants in his back garden, and suspected of being a small time drugs dealer who supplied druggies in london and elsewhere with a regular supply of drugs...

I don't know who the actual personnel were or what police vehicles were in use or what call signs they used during that surveillance, I only know that I have seen evidence that he was under a surveillance because a neighbour had grassed him up for growing cannabis in his back garden in July 1985. It could well be that the occupants of CA06 (Myall, Bews and Saxby) formed part of that surveillance on that particular occasion, or not, or they could have been on standby as part of contingency plans...

Is this another reason that Taff Jones knew Jeremy was not the killer?

Yes, precisely this is what my informant told me about a month ago...

Even to this day, relatives hadn't got a clue that Jeremy had been under surveillance by the drugs squad on the night his family were all shot and killed, and that the target for that operation had been inside 9 Head Street, Goldhanger from just before 10pm on evening of 6th August 1985, and that he did not leave until around 3:30am, the following morning...

Police know that Jeremy did not kill his family, he wasn't there, he didn't break into the farmhouse in the middle of the night and he did not shoot and kill anybody...

Nothing withheld under PII that provides Jeremy an alibi is ever going to be released.  It has probably been destroyed now anyway.  But if what Mike asserts is true, why has no campaign been launched to release these records?

So when the relatives questioned whether Sheila did it, why on earth didn't the police tell them??
