i wonder what would he be doing there at that time of the morning.
I have suggested before that this crouched figure has nothing to do with the murders.
Sheila was the person that killed her family.

could very well be true.

but even if he wasn't what was  he doing there.

So how much has this supposed sighting been blown up.
Well lets start with the title thread..

it says running away.
but the description said WALKING.
so thats wrong...away from the house ...or farm...hmmm ok

so walking away...
and this was about an hour after the police first arrived ...so about  4.45 am then...not fully dark but not properly light and it had to be from some distance away.

it may well have been one of the police moving about and nothing else.

Well you would think, at least, that as the police had warned neighbours not to go out that they would be concerned about someone walking about in the vicinity and cordoned off the area.  Equally, they would/should have been on high alert about suspicious characters considering the nature of the events!

There's not exactly many neighbours to choose from, only the cottages at the farm entrance really, and they are quite a distance away and heavily screened.

Maybe it was a police officer walking across the field?

Quite possibly, who knows?  May explain why they haven't come forward, especially as they were described as 'scruffy' and 'hunched'  ;D

I could almost namecheck a 80s Duran Duran no1 hit on this , Is there something i should know ?, the shambles of Essex Police have been exposed ,
the area within reason is remote not far from the sea, no one appears from nowhere and just walks around, Smiffy im not trying to re kindle anything, what i can say is my initial thoughts on the shootings are going out the window.

I AM INTRIGUED by this spooky topic, If this is the 2nd look. which is the 1st account? Thi is the first time I have seen it       mentioned as at 4.4 5am .Only Jeremy and afew Officers were there then. Is there no Police Report on this?   Is it like Bews 'Trick of Light? Is the report of the hitch-hiker on the main connected?

There are cottages near the Tollesbury end of Pages Lane: Wycke is one of these. There are also cottages and farms on the Tollesbury Road.

I was under the view the area around WHF was private land not common land, were there any public footpaths going through this land, early August of that year those nights would not have been dark as they are now i winter visibility sounded good enough to see someone, do Essex police know what a police dog is?, seems not, why was the area not sealed off how would they know Sheila would still be in the house on their arrival, and why did this idiot bewes not get a firearms team before going, how could they contain the situation without a firearms team present why wait, do essex police know what footprints are seems not again.

Jeremy seems to stick to the story that Sheila was responsible for the murders and he was stitched up after by the relatives and police.
Does anyone know if he ever queried the man seen after the murders and if he thought there was any significance
