I noticed that Mike. Problem being she forgot who told her that.

I noticed that Mike. Problem being she forgot who told her that.

Elsewhere, she says she thinks it was DC Mick Clark who told her that - when she was at Jeremy's cottage, when Clark was there taking Jeremy's statement on 7th August 1985. DC Clark had been to the scene and would have known where Sheila's body ended up before he left the scene...

One difference between Miss Marple and Ann Eaton. Miss Marple was always right when she solved a case.

Two differences Grahame.  Miss Marple tends to examine a case with an open mind.  This was more like a lynching...

I have always maintained, that I saw and have seen a photograph of Sheila on the bed, at a time when she did not have any blood running from the corners of her mouth, this contradicts the police statements which say that Sheila's body was found on the bedroom floor with the barrel of the rifle pointing in the general direction of her chin...

Ann Eaton writes down in these contemporaneously written notes, that Sheila's body as found on the bed with a bible on her chest...

with the rifle beside her...

shot under the chin...

Nothing about the shot to the side of her neck...

If Sheila was on the bed, with a bible on her chest, and the rifle beside her, how could members of the raid team have found her body on the floor next to the bed, with the rifle atop of her body, and the bible close by on the carpet? What also of the proposition that when the police first entered the kitchen that they found the bodies of one dead male, and one deed female, there (police radio log)?

I have seen a photograph of Sheila on the bed, minus the bible on her chest, with no rifle  to her body, and I have seen the stage managed photographs which show Sheila on the bedroom floor, with a rifle atop of her body, and the bible nearby on the bedroom carpet...

There is also the question of a dead female body having been found downstairs, upon entry of the raid team into the kitchen...

Why are there three different accounts of where the body of Sheila was supposedly found when the police got into whf?

(a) in kitchen
(b) on the bed in the bedroom, with bible on chest, and rifle beside body
(c) on floor next to bed, with rifle atop body, and bible close by on carpet?

Mike I do not doubt that you have seen this photo, but us mere mortals have not, so I have to reitterate we have been here before.I think we all agree that the police tampered with the crime scene, but we are not sure to what extent,

I believe it is possible to account for the discrepancy, between account (b) and (c), because DC "Mick" Clark was at the scene, and when he was there he will have seen Sheila's body on the bed, with the bible atop and the rifle alongside her on the bed, he would have then left the scene along with Jeremy to go to 9 Head street, Goldhanger, to take a statement from Jeremy, and at this time he would have recounted to Ann Eaton, where the bodies of the five victims had been found (1) Ralph in the kitchen, (2) June on the bedroom floor by the door, (3) twins in their beds, and (4) Sheila on the bed with a bible atop her chest, and the rifle alongside on the bed...

I believe that DC "Mick" Clark, spoke about Junes body being on the bedroom floor by the door because somebody must have placed it there from the bed, before DC "Mick" Clarke entered the bedroom, and left the scene, and this would be consistent with the photograph which I saw of Sheila on the bed...

Ann Eatons account of being told by DC "Mick" Clark, that Sheila's body was on the bed with the bible atop her body and the rifle alongside on the bed, helps to explain the sequence of events with which police at the scene stage managed Sheila's body on the bedroom floor, gun atop the body, and bible alongside nearby on the carpet...

When COLP interviewed DC "Mick" Clark about the suggestion that he had told Ann Eaton that Sheila's body was found on the bed, with the bible atop of it, and the rifle alongside on the bed - he denied telling her any such thing...

But...

If there was a conspiracy involving the movement and stage managing of the scene, DC Clark would say that, wouldn't he?

It is not exactly clear at what time DC "Mick" Clark and Jeremy left the scene to go to 9 Head Street, Goldhanger, other than Jeremy was still at the scene when DCI "Taff" Jones, arrived there at about 9:05am...

SOCO arrived at the scene at 9:20am, and one assumes that DC "Mick" Clark, and Jeremy left the scene soon afterwards...

SOCO did not take control of he scene, and start to photograph it, until 10 O'clock, onwards that morning...

Mike I am sure the bodies were manipulated for some reason, probably for training purposes This will still not help JB,

Police moved Sheila's body and the bible and the rifle, from the bed, onto the bedroom floor at some stage between DC "Mick" Clark viewing Sheila on the bed before he left the scene at about 9:20am, and SOCO taking control of the scene and photographing it, officially from 10 O'clock, onwards?

Now...

IF PC David Bird (SOC) was the only one who took pictures at the scene of the bodies, and the process of taking pictures did not start until 10am, then Sheila's body was still on the  bed at 10 O'clock...

This has to be true because of the photograph which somebody took of Sheila on the bed, with no blood running from the corners of her mouth...
