How does making the alleged telephone call at gun point work?

??
What would be the purpose of allowing Nevill to make a call to Jeremy?
To get Jeremy over so he could also be shot?
The defence are claiming there is new evidence of a Police log reporting a telephone call Nevill allegedly made to the Police 10 minutes before the alleged call to Jeremy.
The Police logs for Jeremy's call to the Police and the alleged call from Nevill to the Police indicate the same brief and limited information.
So if telephone calls are made at gun point are we to beleive Nevill at gun point is allowed to call the Police via an exchange line number, as opposed to 999, and 10 minutes later be allowed to call Jeremy imparting the same limited information?
