Im certain in the 70s programme Connections, James Burke said that before you question anyones state of mind , question your own first, so no offence there to anyone im simply quoting, Jeremy has been in prison now more than 25 years long enough for anyone to go insane, Jeremy Bamber quite frankly to me is quite sane and rational .

Good morning campers,

Everything came down to Mugford's word.

Mugford said that the content of Jeremy's call on the morning of 7th August included

'Everything is going well'

'I haven't had any sleep all night'

It's Mugford v Bamber

On the evening of 7th of August Mugford asks Jeremy if he did it.

His answer is that McDonald did it. This is the first time he has mentioned it according to her.

It's Mugford v Bamber

Mugford later tells the police that part of the plot was for McDonald to phone out to Goldhanger from WHF.

Thus creating an alibi - captured on memory redial.

Mugford tells the police that Jeremy told her that McDonald had got Shelia to lie down and shoot herself.

McDonald ( for whatever reason ) tells someone in a houseshare that this was how it happened.

McDonald says ( for whatever reason ) that he was still there when the police arrived.

McDonald says ( for whatever reason ) that he was watching the police outside.

McDonald states ( for whatever reason ) that the old fella put up one hell of a fight.

If the police believe Mugford it's become

Bamber / McDonald

Myall's statement 'unidentified male at the window' may refer to McDonald

If the police bite on the alibi that McDonald has given

Well then it still leaves them with

Bamber

I think this is a scenario that the police alluded to when they said you don't have to pull the trigger to be implicated in murder.

If Mugford had knowledge of a plot to kill prior to 6th August and that a hitman had been hired then she was facing a long prison term.

Which leads to a cameo from the said phone call Bamber to Mugford

namely

'Something is wrong at the farm'

What could this mean?

Had the hitman been delayed in making the phone call to Goldhanger?

Of course, as others so rightly say

Mugford changed her story on a number of occasions.

By the time Mugford mentioned the McDonald link family members may have had an opportunity to influence her. I'm not sure on this though.

By my understanding McDonald had no alibi as such.

The mystery to me is this.

If the police thought that an unidentified male had been seen in the window then the immediate version of 4 murders and a suicide would never have been released.

Maybe Jeremy hadn't slept all night.

And maybe Mugford hadn't either.

There is a hint of a plot between Bamber and Mugford.

As they had already conspired in the past they were effectively partners in crime - but on what scale?

So it comes down to this

Mugford v Bamber

or Mugford and Bamber

( and possibly the hitman ).

The caravan park robbery was a big mistake.

The other crimes, some known to Essex Police and some unreported were a big mistake too.

With that kind of track record you leave yourself wide open.

This will be my last post or a while so save the insults for another time - Christmas will do nicely.

xxx

I dont buy the McDonald did it scenario.  I believe this was an attempt by Bamber to shed the blame and make himself appear to be whiter than white in Mugfords eyes after the event when he realised that she could not be counted on to shut her mouth.  He made a bad miscalculation there.

I think this is the one where it says "see you in 100 years".  I did laugh when I saw that bit.

how can you admit to having your whole family wiped out and then at the same time make yourself look whiter than white.

Mitch this is a pro Bamber site.  I suppose you don't want the release of evidence held under PII either

I agree, it would be boring to have just pro bamber posters, but the guilty camp like to knock supporters for no other reason but that.that theyre supporters

I should re phrase that, certain members of the guilty camp, not the regular posters on this forum, they are always decent and at least have a sense of humour!!
