It's funny how the police believed Mugford however many times she changed times she changed her story

Excellent point, Jackie, IOU +1 for this

Well here goes, im unable to give my version on how i think the events took place on the night, but i do counter offer this to think over, Why were the twins spared full frontal facial fatal injuries? i think i might have a credible answer but wanted to see what the replies are.

As so was Sheila.

Another excellent point, HME IOU +1

thanks Jackie for the +1, Andrea as to the exit wounds i can only answer to what i have seen in my previous occupation, not in every case , what will perhaps never be known is the true state of Sheilas mind on that night, but Sheila may have left with a message, i believe in her last moments the good won her mind, as to the minimum injuries as to opposed to the rest of the family, Sheila died knowing her fatal injuries would not prevent Colin from saying goodbye to her in person, if indeed he did say goodbye to her in her open coffin in the chapel of rest.

am i right in thinking that exit wounds are generally bigger than the entry wounds?

i know that one twin had exit wounds on the bridge of his nose and cheek

I don't know if they're larger or not, Andrea, but my view is that Sheila, if she was the killer, would not have forseen this as a consequence of her shots, in particular if the boys were killed first.

Sheila believed her boys were possessed by the devil, but they were still her beloved boys. If Sheila killed her family, as I believe it's likely she did, she would have done so only because she was severely mentally ill. She may have been torn, on the one hand feeling that she was obeying her demonic voices and the devil, on the other hand, believing that she was performing a 'noble exorcism', an act of love to free her family from possession. But she was still the boys' mother, how could she kill them other than as she did: as quickly as possible without looking at or damaging their little faces?

i agree with that choc, i also believe sheila didnt want to damage her own face, she was beautiful.

Exactly.

colin says in his book that he didnt want to see the twins in their coffin, the twins were buried in the same coffin. i cant blame him for not wanting to see them that way.

he doesnt mention if he saw sheila in her coffin, infact the only time he mentions anyone seeing the bodies is muggy when she identified them.

That's a lovely and inspired explanation, Mertol, most of us would never have thought of that, only someone with your experience and the wisdom that comes from it would have done so. I love your description of the good winning her mind at the last moment. Perhaps you see it much as I do, a battle between good and evil raging inside Sheila and in the end the evil - of her illness - was overcome and she thought of her redeeming love for Colin and her boys.

Yes the twins were buried in Highgate together because Colin did not want them to be apart, i also read Colins partner did go to see the twins , but what the book does not say if the twins coffin was closed or they were viewable, childrens faces are quite small compared to an adult , girls and mothers sometimes there is not much difference but boys and fathers there normally is, it is possible to view children victims of fire, accidents ect, as you can show the faces of children partly, many chapels of rest you can adjust different colours of lighting ect, i believe the twins were  viewable and Sheila also, i do know Colin later quiestioned himself by not going to see them, Ralph and June i think their injuries sadly resulted in closed coffins, however you still can sit in a rest room with a loved one even in a closed coffin, just being there helps greatly.

As if muggy knew jeremy killed the twins

She wouldn't have gone a million miles near those twins bodies if she knew JB has killed them

on the day of the funeral the twins coffin was closed because colin mentions sitting at the side of it, and un beknown to him there was a reporter in the church, who reported on it the next day, the fact that colin was at the side of the cofin saying some final words or thoughts for his twins.

I strongly agree with you, Jackie. I also cannot believe that JM could have viewed the bodies of the family if she had known that she could have prevented their deaths and this whole tragedy by speaking up. I believe she could go to see them with a clear conscience because she knew that there was nothing to reproach herself for as Jeremy did not murder his family

exactly jack, muggy taught children the same aga as the twins, she must have liked kids, so for her to be able to carry on seeing jb after the shotings, including sleeping with him? im not buying it.

In Colins book In search of the rainbows end there are several pictures of the family , there is one page showing a picture of the floral tributes cards, one says from Uncle Jeremy to the twins, what more is there to know Jeremy is innocent.
