Acceot he had an AM.

Having it turned off is very suspicious.

Accept if he said he only turned it off on the night of 6.8.85 it is yes.

He is saying he always turned it off when in

But Nevill may have been well aware of the fact that JB shut off his AM when he was at home, Adam? Which does make sense really! It would be a pest surely the AM continually kicking in just as you were about to pick up the phone, wouldn't it? Would mean missing calls and having to call back!

Do you not think everyone would leave there AM on 24/7?

BT's 1571 service was after AM's &;did that. So do todays mobile phone voice mail.

AM's would have still been useful when at home. Espescially if tired and sleeping 'like a log'.

He's not going to say 'I only turned it off that night'.

Too much of a 'curious coincidence'.

It never featured in the case against him.

It may have been mentioned at trial - 'phoned his cottage'. Although as I posted yesterday, technology then meant he could have answered his own call.

It's certainly been discussed since the trial. CC & Guest29835 saying Nevill would not call Jeremy if he had an AM. You & Rob saying it is not an issue.

Guilters agree with CC & Guest29835.

The prosecution at trial would have elaborated on the 'phoned his cottage' narrative. The reason being was to leave a record of an answered call from WHF to GH. Technically this could be done by -

Letting his AM answer.

Answering his own call.

----------

This matches Julie's WS which says he planned to phone his cottage using the 'last number dialled' portable phone.

The jury would have needed to be satisfied that it was possible for Jeremy to fake an answered call from WHF.

If it was used to challenge the phonecall it would have been used in cross examination.

There is no mention of the AM in the cross examination of Jeremy Bamber.

If anything using the AM could have been counter productive for the prosecution.

For me, I believe CID didn't believe it had evedential value.

Guilters certainly believe it is very incriminating. As well as some supporters.

Guest29835 argued it was bought after the massacre. CC still argues this.

Would you put it before a jury?

People wake up in the middle of the night and answer phone calls.

With or without an AM.

It would have been handy to ask the original members of CID if they recollect anything about the AM. But most if not all are dead.

Don't believe Wilkes or CAL make any mention of it.

Guest29835 argued it was bought after the massacre. CC still argues this.

I don't argue that JB bought one post murders nor do I argue NB would not phone an AM.  I have always said there is no evidence JB had an AM pre murders.

A tiktok vid produced by JB and his support people saying he had one 40 years after the event is not evidence.

I said he may have had one post murders which he may have purchased or if SC had one he may have taken it from her flat to use at his cottage.  The latter I believe was in one of the books.  He had a lot of calls to deal with: 5 x funerals and probate.

And your claim that people don't wake upon hearing a phone ring a few times is rubbish evidenced by the fact the GPO offered a service whereby they would make alarm calls for the sole purpose of waking people.

See Jean Rowe's WS:

"I didn't listen to the line at all this time as I was engaged in making alarm calls and other British Telecom services"

How can you be pro JB if you don't believe he is a reliable source of information?

He wasn't there.

He has been a cat A prisoner for almost 40 years.

He has very limited access to the outside world.

He lacks research tools to undertake a deep dive into his case.

He surrounds himself with cranks, criminals and the misguided who fill his head with nonsense.

My reasons for believing JB innocent were formed entirely through my own research based on the following:

- Blood evidence
- SC's person and nightdress
- The soc around SC
- SOC reconstruction
- June's severe depression pre and post adopting SC and SC suffering an attachment disorder as a result

In fact if I only listened to JB and the cranks, criminals and misguided he surrounds himself with I would probably think him guilty.
