There is no solid alibi either side of the coin.

He was a bloke who lived alone in a cottage.
His weakness was he had to rely on the time factor in police not suspecting he had walked or cycled to White House Farm, commit the murders then get back to Bourtree Cottage, change apparel, appear normal to all concerned. He had to delay entry because by necessity Sheila dying by her own hand meant just the one bullet, though as it transpired Jeremy used two, though I wonder whether he was aware of the statistics for people who commit suicide by firearms using more than one bullet (I believe David1819 wrote a post on this several years ago but as I'm on ignore that point will have to be left floating in the wind).

He had to hope Sheila had bled to death by the time the Raid Team entered.

Not sure why Nevill would phone Jeremy if he had already phoned the police.

The police should be arriving before Jeremy.

If Nevill wanted family support when speaking to the police, June was there.
Jeremy never forewent an opportunity to sow discord among the family unit.

In general terms though there could be no solid alibi.

No phone data etc in those days.

I have never believed Nevill Bamber called police.

However I can see why Jeremy after many years of imprisonment whilst claiming he is innocent tried to utilize it to his advantage.

Do you believe Sheila dialled 999 at 6.09am?

I'm 60/40 against it.

Having taken her parents' bedroom phone down to the kitchen - composed herself enough to make the call - and then saying absolutely nothing.

I believe the cream rotary dial GPO issued phone, which in this case is often referred to as the 'bedroom phone', was seen in the kitchen on 5th Aug by a Mr Pike who collected the faulty cordless phone.

The one found under the mags was I believe a phone described as fawn in colour and digital.  See Jean Bouttell's ws.

If Jeremy had an AM, do you think Nevill would have still called him?

JB didn't have an AM pre murders so its a pointless question.

Second/final request. A failure to answer will be taken as a 'no'.

So this was probably in Nevill/June's bedroom - removed by Bamber and hidden to explain why Nevill had to come downstairs to the kitchen to phone him.
