And the GP op, Jean Rowe, does not make reference to the line being engaged.  She refers to it being off the hook and open.

JB called PC West from Bourtree Cottage not WHF!  I would remind you of the tel evidence at trial:

There was no evidence of telephone billing information of the sort which would be available these days. There was, however, expert evidence called as to the effect of a telephone call having been made from White House Farm to Goldhanger which was then abandoned by the caller with the receiver being left off the cradle, as claimed by Jeremy. If such a sequence had occurred, the telephone link would have remained open either until the handset at White House Farm was replaced or until the handset at Goldhanger had been replaced and left in position for a period which could vary from 1 to 2 minutes, when an automatic interruption of the link would take place. Until one or other of these events, Jeremy would have been unable to make any call from the Goldhanger telephone.

The GPO op was working on a different system to the general public.

You waste your time and that of others going round in cricles with a lot of low level stuff that is never going to assist JB 40 years on.  Eg whether or not JB could see to cycle the sea wall.

Stop talking rubbish Cc!

If Nevil's phone was engaged what phone was it connected to!

For the last time engaged and off the hook are not the same!

Neither does she say more than one copper rang in enquiring the status of the line, yet we have statements from several officers that they did?

If the operator is asked the status of the line they would not say engaged if the was off the hook.

Which was why I said was it yet another mistake, before you jumped on your high horse.

You are the one talking rubbish as usual!  I suspose I should make allowances for your obvious profound learning difficulties.

NB phoned JB and did not end the call.  He left the phone on the counter.  Of course the line was engaged and off the hook.

semantics and wrong use of word aren't going to cut it - there's too much else that says that noone made a phone call from WHF after Jeremy left.

Wrong!  The totality of the soc evidence by way of blood stains to flooring, casings, distance of shots, trajectories and wound tracks supports NB making the call downstairs in the kitchen with SC going upstairs, opening fire on June, NB dropping the handset on the counter, going upstairs and sustaining his facial gunshot wounds on the landing.

Ringing Jeremy at 3.10am.

That went well for Nevill, Jeremy, June, Daniel & Nicholas.

Do you believe Nevill had rang Chelmsford Police 10 minutes earlier?

I do not believe NB phoned EP at any time.  Nor do I believe SC phoned 999.  Not only is there no supporting evidence for either but the soc evidence does not support this.

Most 'supporters' suffer profound learning dissabilities and put JB at a complete disadvantage because they are simply unable to understand the case.  They pursue absurd ideas like NB phoned EP or SC phoned 999.  I am just being forthright.

Did Nevill not notice Sheila go upstairs with the rifle?

What made him drop the phone? He would not be able to hear upstairs shots.

The soc evidence tells us as much as we will ever know what happened.

Be good to know how Nevill knew June had been shot. As he would not be able to hear the shots.

Thought a fully fit Nevill and June could physically control her. But Nevill decided to phone Jeremy. That went well.

The soc evidence supports NB leaving the phone on the counter and and going upstairs where he sustained his facial gunshot wounds with SC in the bedroom having shot June.  Presumably NB heard the sound of gunshot and/or June calling out.  Not a long distance between the kitchen and main bedroom.

Thought a fully fit Nevill and June could physically control her. But Nevill decided to phone Jeremy. That went well.

We have to go on what the soc evidence tells us.  NB was in the kitchen, making the tel call to JB, and June was evidently lying in bed.

It is a long distance from the kitchen to the bedroom.

June was shot 5 times in bed. Once in the neck. So would not do any shouting out. The rifle would not be audible from the kitchen.

Agree there was no call from Nevill to Chelmsford Police. Or a 999 call from Sheila.

Do you think the defence at trial are wrong. That Nevill and June were shot in bed. Then Nevill got downstairs to phone Jeremy?

The defence narrative helps explain the shortness of Nevill's call.
