No I didn't know until you told me.  I know next to nothing about the subject.  I will endeavour to check out the film.

Before you watch the film, it would be a good idea to watch a documentary on the subject, Cutie!
After all, Exodus by Leon Uris , on which the film is based, is mostly a work of fiction based around the founding of Israel.
A good documentary to watch is called, '1948, creation and catastrophe', it lasts about an hour and a half and gives both sides of the story, you will find it on youtube along with many others.
Then you will know the true story of the Palestine/Israel conflict!

Yes sadly no WTC at the time of my visit.  We did visit Ground Zero.  I liked that area, Battery Park.  If I remember correctly that's when we took a boat to Ellis Island as its that part of Manhattan.  We were there for 5 nights so plenty of time to visit the main attractions.  Unbeknown to us at the time of booking we discovered the NY marathon was on and it coincided with Halloween which we had overlooked so was a bit of a bonus.

I'm not sure what you mean. Of course I haven't forgotten 7/7/2005. I haven't forgotten the Manchester Arena attack on 22 May 2017 either.

Never seen Trump so dejected after The Supreme Court decision.

He's looked a lot more animated since the war started. Probably chuffed he has been able to make a major decision without going through Congress.

He wants to go out with a bang.

The War Powers Act allows the US president to have military combat operations for 60 days without congressional approval. Once those 60 days are up, all forces must withdraw from combat.

When did you go CC?  I did a similar trip I believe at around the same time. 

I remember it was 2003 and we stumbled across a Halloween parade which I think was the second night so we must have flown out on the 30th Oct and stayed for 5 nights.  I found it much cleaner, tidier and better organised everywhere compared to London.
