I don't think that's quite right. As far as I understand it there was one call from JB to Witham handled by PC West who logged this at 3.36am and made a written note as per the docs we see today. Whilst JB was hanging on the line PC West phoned through to Chelmsford HQ and spoke with civilian operator Malcolm Bonnett who logged the call at 3.26am and made a written note, third person, as per the docs we see today.
In the documentary PC West said something like had NB called and spoken with MB before he, PC West, phoned JB's message through he would have expected MB to say something like...'that's funny Mick, NB has just called me', but he didn't say a word ie MB didn't say a word. Hope that's clear!
