Latest legal craziness
« on: July 16, 2025, 06:35:PM »
At the moment, team Bamber are downbeat following the Provisional Statement of Reasons.

Would they ought to do now is consider whether their submission was sensible and/or wait for the CCRC to  decide on the 6 remaining grounds.

What they are now considering, and "Bamber is keen to go down this route", is to attempt to bypass the CCRC altogether and go straight to the Court of Appeal.

Impossible madness.

I am still quite shocked Jeremy hasn't released a statement.

I think there will definitely be a response to the PSOR.  I do not believe the CT will simply wait for a decision on the remaining grounds.  There will I believe be more news on this within the next few weeks.

Isn't the idea to write back to the CCRC with a rebuttal, saying why you think the PSOR is wrong. The CCRC could then reconsider, change its mind and make a referral to the COA.

Alternative, and much more likely in my view, they will respond to that with a final Statement of Reasons. The Campaign Team could then challenge that by way of Judicial Review, like they did in 2012.

The CT said they will seek a Judicial Review.

They also want the new head of the CCRC to look at the case.

A lot of supporters have not seen the PSOR. They will just carry on as before.

Supporters that have seen it may put things on social media criticising it. Guilters will say they are cherry picking and why don't they put the PSOR online.

and what makes them think that this case has more a right to be looked at by the head of the CCRC than any other case, particularly as the CCRC has looked at this case several times before !?

I think we need a list of criticisms, to put this in context.
