I am merely suggesting what could have happened which is more realistic. We know the kitchen phone was caput and that they had to use the bedroom phone to accommodate this new situation but I think it is more likely that they moved it around as needed rather than leaving it in the kitchen on a semi permanent basis.
I think the Bedroom cream phone was the newer phone and it was moved into the Kitchen where it could be used more?

Have you got her Court cross examination?
I got the quote I posted directly and unchanged from the CT Website under Jean Boutell. They are referring to her testimony and use this word rather than statement, indicating to me that they must have a copy of her testimony to make such a statement

That was an alternative but it would not suit June who may have wanted to speak to family and friends in her own space and to use her favoured phone in her bedroom. I think she was a bit technophobic and did not like the push buttons and a modern design in the handset. NB was a good man and I am sure he wasn't bothered and it made no difference to him. He just needed a phone in the bedroom and he wanted her to be happy.
So June was walking around the house just simply carrying her favourite phone, if she was in the Kitchen it went with her, if she went to the Lounge it went with her, when she went to bed it went with her.

I didn’t know she went to Court as a witness?  I know BW did.  If anybody has got Jean Bouttell’s Court testimony could they put it up for us please?

I think it was more to do with physical characteristics. It was more robust for sure and some of the early digital phones were light weight and dare I say it flimsy. It would make more sense to use a strong and sturdy model if the intention was for it to be moved about a lot.

Nope, Bamber said it got moved to the kitchen because the Kitchen phone wasn’t working.

In a nutshell. The moving of the phone may only have been between the bedroom and kitchen most of the time IMO. That's 2 moves. It was not as if she was visiting rooms for short times and taking the phone with her every where she went. Common sense would prevail when deciding whether to move the phone.

Nope, your suggesting she walked about with it like a mobile phone.

I think that's a bit harsh and nothing like I posted.

I do 100 per cent believe the cream coloured bedroom phone was in the Kitchen on the day of the murders, Pike said it was there two days before, the raid team say it was there on the morning they entered, Photo evidence says it was, woodcock shown Taff the phone in the kitchen on the morning, Bamber said it replaced the kitchen phone, Bamber emptied bullets out the casing next to the phone in the kitchen between 9.00pm and 10.00 pm. Pamela phoned June at ten and I believe June was in the Kitchen because she put Sheila on the Phone and then Sheila went to bed. I’m sorry I don’t buy into your theory that the phone was taken up to the bedroom on the night, and the raid team brought it back down again to cover up for the 999 call.

That means you believe that NB went to bed without a phone and we know he did not take the fawn phone because it was missing and it is not in any bedroom photos we have to view on this site. It was harvest time and he would/might need to react to any emergencies if they arose. If the phone was in the kitchen, he might not have been able to hear it. He does not seem to me a guy who would take such a risk
