NB was not in the bedroom when he sustained his 4 x upstairs gunshot wounds.  He was on the landing stairs with the perp already in the bedroom.

The X's in the diagram show 7 shots from June's side of the bed.

Obviously this was June's 5 shots & Nevill's 2 shots.

In bed.

Where else would Nevill & June be at 2am?

Afaik a proper reconstruction was not undertaken by either side. 

In the case of Tony Martin the ballistics expert for the prosection, Freddie Mead, did undertake a proper reconstruction.  In JB's case the defence instructed Freddie Mead but afaik he did not attempt to undertake any sort of reconstruction?  Assuming this is correct does ngb1066 know the reason(s) why?

Too much of a head start for Nevill. And too many weapons downstairs. Unlike Sheila, Nevill knew how to use them!

I read recently that the guy who took the photographs of Sheila holding a gun as a prop had to show her how to hold it for the photograph. That wasn't so long before the murders.

He wouldn't be going nowhere or getting any firearm in his predicament.

Bamber would catch up with him easily. 40 years his junior. Fitter, faster  and with the element of suprise in his favour along with gunshot injuries.

In a straight fight, fair enough my money would be on Nevill, 6 foot 4 guy big unit.

If he had gone via the box room he would have attended to the children in some form or another.

I did suggest Nevill could have exited via the box room. It was 2 feet from his side of the bed & WHF does have 3 stair cases. 

However the X's in the diagram show he was shot on the landing/stairs outside the main bedroom door.

Why would Bamber shoot a moving Nevill twice on the landing/stairs, then go back into the bedroom & shoot June 5 times?

This gives Bamber's biggest threat Nevill, a huge head start in a 1 storey building. Time to get downstairs and get a weapon.
