Burning down something as big as WHF was being optimistic.

So was relying on everyone dying inside WHF. There would be plenty of escape routes. Or just jump out of a window.

Relying on a cigarette to cause the damage would be optimistic. But then using petrol risks the fire being classed as arson.

Arson would have been  risky.

There were farm workers cottages nearby who would have been alerted by the billowing smoke etc.

Suspect it was an option only briefly considered.

I'm shocked she never confided in anybody like a friend, sibling, relative in the period pre massacre of what he was saying

If she believed it was bollocks I'm shocked that she never brought it up in early girly chat with her mates etc. I'm shocked she never found him weird etc with the stuff he was coming out with.

If anything it just strengthens the proposition that they were in league with each other. She never makes any mention in her WS when Jeremy was telling her these things of " don't tell anyone what I'm planning, you would think he would have wanted to keep it private.

These two were just young lovers, not an established married couple. He certainly had lots of of confidence in Julie not saying a word prior.

Julie's WS say Jeremy would speak about his plans for periods of time and then he would not mention it for a while.

Yep, still up and running with new posts as sparse as drifting tumbleweed but festooned with countless old ones from the same author masquerading as QCChevalier'/'Gascoigne'/'Guest29835'/Erik Narramore et al. He obviously gets a kick out of conversing with himself!

I guess it makes a change from mass debating.

I think that's the key. Jeremy reflects on his socioeconomic status in Thatcher's Britain. Many of us worked hard, continuously, without long foreign trips in between. Most of us did not resort to mass murder either.
