I wonder if Colin ever took legal advice.

Why would he?  It is surely common sense he would have no entitlement.  It really is very simple.  When Bamber was convicted NB and June died intestate.  Therefore the laws of intestacy were applied and this is exactly how the estate was distributed.

But I think you're confusing the laws of intestacy with the law of commorientes.

No.  It makes no difference who died first in terms of NB and June.  Neither was going to inherit from the other as per their wills.  And the named beneficiaries were unable to inherit: SC deceased, JB convicted.  Therefore the laws of intestacy kicked in.

Since when has Yvonne Hartley been a reliable source of info?

Her WS dated 8/9/85 says the twins were shot first and Sheila last.

The WS was completed within hours of her approach to the police on the 7/9/85.

What page of her 8/9/85 says this? I cannot find it mentioned.

Page 11.

Sorry it says the twins did not wake. So may not have been shot first but remained sleeping along with Sheila.

Says Sheila was told to lay down and shoot herself. Which suggests she was woken last & lead to the main bedroom.

It was in Julies later statements that she "remembered" Jeremy telling her the Twins being shot first.

According to RWBs legal source the twins would be presumed to die last and Colin will inherit. Arlidge QCs notes say the same thing. ChatGPT on UK intestacy law says the same thing. ChatGPT has passed mock Bar exams to the 90th percentile, so is a valid legal source also.

So the inference being they got Julie to say this (directly or indirectly) and used her statement in later civil proceedings to obtain the estate. Colin being unable to make a claim without claiming that Julie lied.

When did the relatives meet Julie after the 8/9/85?

Why would she agree to help the relatives?

One of Julie's other WS's in the archives confirms she told SB on the 27th August 1985.
